He was impressed, but also, he's only two ... so ...
The Toddler is obsessed with cars so I figured I would make him a car cake and when he sees a picture of his 2nd birthday in twenty years (or a hologram of a picture of his 2nd birthday), he'll know that he was loved and that I was trying to make him happy with his favorite things. My biggest problem was that the cake didn't bake evenly and the middle was so runny until eventually I covered the whole thing in tin foil and baked a little longer. Not sure if this is a pan issue or a batter issue (or both?!) but that's something to keep in mind. Other than that, no complaints. It made a car cake, I wanted a car cake - there you have it.
