A sewing kit that actually stays organized - WHO KNEW!! This kit is compact enough to fit into my back pocket, but so useful! In the past I've always bought little cheapo kits that are basically just a little bit of thread and some needles thrown into a plastic box, and the pieces tend to get lost or tangled or the box broken. I figured that was just the way of sewing kits, but since I had a coupon for this kit I figured I'd try anyway. I was pleased to see it came with a big variety of thread colors, a lot of needles IN A CASE (love!), a pair of quality scissors, and two thread guides, plus a bunch of other stuff that doesn't come with your standard travel sewing kit - spare buttons, safety pin, tape measure, and a thimble! How have I gone 30 years without seeing a thimble in real life?? All the ingredients aside, I mostly just really love how organized this kit is. There are elastic straps galore to keep things in place and a sturdy zipper to contain everything if it does become loose. This would be great to take on a vacation or business trip, or just really handy to have at home.

I bought this sewing kit instead of other, very similar kits due to the rave reviews on the scissor quality included. I was not disappointed - these small scissors are very sharp, made of stainless steel, and cut thread with no issues. The rest of the kit is good - many needle options, extra buttons and pins.The two cons to this kit - the tape measure is wildly inaccurate. An inch on the tape measure is actually something like 1.25 inches. I will have to remove this item as it is useless to me as such. Too bad, I liked the idea of having one in the kit.Other con is the thread colors included feel kind of random (ex. Two yellows included - one golden and one neon, no greens except for a light mint color) but I'm not too fussed about that since I will be replacing with some of my own thread spools anyway.

Handy little travel mending kit is the best I have ever seen. Has everything I can imagine ever needing to mend a hem, replace a button, everything you could ever need except your own sewing machine which wouldn't fit as easily in your purse. The kit itself is small and very cleverly thought through including a zipper closing to make sure things stay in the kit and not in the bottom of your purse or carry on. Came within 4 days of the order date. I really love this little miracle worker!

Great little sewing kit, but not so sturdy.I really like the contents - it had all the basic accessories I needed. The thread was a bit flimsy but should be fine for sewing on a button, I'm very far from being that picky. I liked that the scissors were metal rather than plastic.So why 3 stars?Well, when I tried to open the needle case to sew up a rip in my comforter, the plastic back ripped off (this is a part that is probably not supposed to come off) and needles flew everywhere. On my wall-to-wall carpet. Where I walk around with bare feet and my baby crawls around. I freaked out and crawled around for a while picking them up (still not sure I've got them all).So what's the moral of the story? Always be careful when you open the needle case. ;)

This item really has everything you need for a basic repairing, but of a very poor quality. I cut my hands a few times while trying to open the needle box, it just won't turn and the edges are quite sharp, so at the end I just through it away and replace with a new one I had to buy separately. Won't recommend this sewing kit at all.

Hate to give a negative review, but this was garbage...I guess you get what you pay for..

Great for travel; you never know when you will lose a button or hem. This is great for either permanent repair or just until you can get to a tailor.Arrived more quickly than expected and product has good value for the price. I have used it within the first week and was impressed.

The kit was exactly what I needed. Shipping was very quick. The kit is perfect for our weekend camper. Would recommend.
