Shelf does the job, I have a Yamaha YSP4000 soundbar, weighs almost 40lbs. and the shelf is strong. The only thing to watch out for is there is only one wall mount, which means you will need to install on a beam in the wall. In my case the shelf had to be installed a little off center under the TV to have it installed on a beam. The shelf with 2 wall mounts would have been able to center better. No issues with the shelf itself. Looks a little flimsy out of the box, but works fine.
