Roomy and correct bar spacing for budgies but not the quality of older cages
Update to the con list (3 months later): Replacement dowel perches are nowhere to be found. Our budgies love the cage and get plenty of exercise, but they chewed through one of the dowel bars and this company does not sell replacements for this cage. Since our birds love to have a couple of long perches and we didn't want to change the set-up, we had to special order bird-safe perches from a wood crafter. And a side note is that we always remove the wire grid at the bottom because every budgy we've ever had likes to ground forage. We clean the cage and replace bottom paper each day so it is safe for them. We've had budgies for a lot of years and needed a new cage. Pet stores near us don't have a lot of bird cage choices so we were glad to find this one on Amazon. I bought screw-on perches in various sizes, which work great in this cage. After shopping around, this was the best one with 1/2 inch bars that I could find in this size.Pros: This cage is pretty and we love the purple color. It's easy to put together and a decent price. It's also roomy for our 2 budgies to exercise and play and has the 1/2 inch bars that are safe for them. It has a lot of places to hang toys and the seed and water dishes are sturdy (we keep the cover off the water one since smaller birds can fall in, get stuck, and drown). And our metal fruit/veggie/millet clips fit the bars perfectly. The birds have room to fly back and forth and exercise their wings.Cons: Cheaper quality than older cages from the 1990's that we're used to. Since the tray is plastic and not the sturdy aluminum of the older cages, it sticks a lot when trying to slide it in and out, which makes cleaning harder than it should be. Two of the 3 wooden perches aren't sized properly and slide around too much. The metal bars are also thinner and bend easier than the older cages but that seems to be the trend these days. The smaller doors slide easily and don't have latches, so we use twist ties to keep the birds from opening them, but this has been a problem with some cages in the past.

Bigger then the picture
Pretty easy to put together, I have tow parakeets and wanted to get a cage for them with more room , well this was definitely the one it’s not only a nice cage but it’s big it could easily fit 4 parakeets or 3 cacatiels even a Indian ring neck . Comes with decent size food cups to . If you are looking for a cage with room this one is it . My parakeets think they have there own apartment now !

Good “travel bungalow” for the flock
The bird store tried to sell a smaller cage for my 4 parakeets to stay in for a two week boarding stay, but I just couldn’t do it. The place wasn’t happy with the larger “footprint” of this cage but they made space for it and my birds were happy with it. I added natural perches instead of using the dowel rods it came with. There was enough space through the central door for me to add small pots of grass for the birds to play in. Once I was able to take them back home, I simply loaded it into the back seat. Am keeping it in storage for the next time. It has not replaced their large rolling cage.

The bars are thinner than what my older bird cage has.
The bottom tray arrived busted in the corner and the crack ran down both sides about 2”. I had outdoor plastic glue for bird baths and used that to repair everything. Your base has to be sturdy as the entire cage rests on it. I don’t know why this cage has a handle on top as it’s way too heavy and bars are too thin to support this as a hanging cage. The wooden dowels are slightly rough and fit loosely. Assembly went well. After I got all of the items needed put inside it looked so homey. My sister has used it for three months now? And loves it with no issues. She said her little finch loves it and has plenty of room to fly around. The little bird even laid eggs in her nest. She sings and chirps continuously and enjoys taking multiple baths every day. ❤️
