Stanley Proto J9200DB Proto 11-Piece Fractional Nut Driver

Nice complete set. Proto quality and the case is a nice addition.

PROTO makes very good tools, and i have many of them. the nut driver set is one of there great tools. the plastic case is great for keeping things organized. one thing that i did not like about the nut drivers is that the size is not stamped on the steel shaft. i have found that the plastic handles will tend to loose there luster and loose writing on them, which would be the size of the end socket. When that happens it becomes a pain to get the size you need quickly.

I bought, used, this same 11-piece Proto set. It is an excellent set.• The set is especially comprehensive/complete regarding size range (i.e., better size range than the standard 7-piece norm).• These drivers are especially heavy-duty in construction: especially tough, bigger and beefier than other brands.• So the reasons to buy these instead of the normal, cheap 7-piece bargain-bin sets in every hardware and home store are: more sizes, bigger top-end sizes, heavier duty, and (at least so far) still made in USA.• Good smell: They do *not* have a noticeably bad smell/odor like Xcelite nut drivers do.• One caution is that they are not as deep-hollow as Vaco, Klein, and some others. The hollow portion is more like 1 to 1.5 inches long rather than a full 3-plus inches long.
