It's so useful to have a spoon built into the top! We use this at out table instead of a grinder. This newer model with a spoon discourages guests from putting their fingers in to pinch the salt at the table.

Good item and very smart looking. Ease of opening and closing. The tiny spoon is a plus!

I use it for Himalayan salt. Here's what I like about it1. The bamboo is attractive, and, more important to me, the parts fit together very nicely. It looks nice on my counter2. It holds about a cup of stuff, which is very convenient for a cook. The contents are also very accessible since the mouth of the container is wide.3. The magnet that holds the lid in place is plenty strong. The container won't accidently open.4. This is my biggest plus: the silicon bottom and the large diameter of the container ensures that it doesn't slip and slide on my countertop AND it won't tip over. The last thing I would want is a spill from accidently toppling the containerI do have two minor quibbles. First, this kind of container is best for large-grained spices like Himalayan salt, kosher salt and whole peppercorns. It's not great with more powdery things like table salt and sugar. Since the lid swings open, rather than lifts up, small granules can get stuck between the lid and the container itself.Second, it would have been nice if the included spoon snapped into place to the lid rather than just lying in the indentation on the top of the lid.

Salt.For something that is so common, it has an incomparable effect on flavor when cooking.I have a number of different kinds of salt in my kitchen - whilst many folk and chefs swear by kosher salt, there's a special place in my palate (and heart) for Maldon Sea Salt Flakes with a crunchy texture and a clean taste that is welcome in almost any dish.For years, I have kept my Maldon in the distinctive box or the small pail by the stove (wherever that has been as I have travelled and lived in different continents) but this beautiful salt cellar is a keeper.It's beautifully crafted, with a rotary lid and a tiny but effective magnetic latch to keep the salt dry.“Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out.” Luke 14:34-35It's very attractive and the small spoon is a bonus although I usually reach in for the proverbial 'pinch of salt.'The bamboo construction is light and eco-friendly with a silicone base. The lid is removable so it can be wiped out if required. Showing the craftmanship and design, the spoon is recessed into the lid but with a small overlap on the edge of the lid to release - it's those tiny details that make this the perfect addition to the kitchen.

This salt cellar is nice and wide, with a swiveling lid, allowing me to open it with one hand and grab a pinch of kosher salt quickly while I'm cooking. The bamboo is attractive. It seems to be durably made. I haven't had need of the spoon, but it's a nice addition in case you want to put this out for guests, and doesn't get in the way if you don't need it. I also considered salt cellars with a regular removable lid, and in retrospect I might have preferred that design, only because a swiveling lid means you need more counter space to open it. If the cellar is against a wall, you might have to move the cellar before opening the lid. But that's a nitpick and a personal preference. I'm very happy with this cellar, and it has proven to be very convenient to have next to the stove.

First, this is a beautiful salt cellar that is easy to slide open. I love, love, love the little spoon that nests in the lid. The rubber bottom keeps it from moving around on the counter, and it is a generous size. Really, you will wonder why you haven't gotten one before now. The workmanship is top notch. This is a must have for every kitchen.

This is a really nice and well-made pinch bowl. It is larger than I anticipated, the lid stays attached and this is very easy to use. The bamboo is a nice aesthetic and it looks lovely in the kitchen.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Wow. I love it.⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Hey, this is pretty great.⭐⭐⭐ = Meh. It's okay but I don't love it. Someone might like it.⭐⭐ = Not great. Best to avoid.⭐ = Nope. This is bad.

After a short time it flavoured the salt, very chemical. Whatever they treated the bamboo with transferred to the salt.
