Galdir - Protector of Rome (Roman Fiction) Paperback – 14 Jan. 2013

Really enjoyed all three books. The characters,the plot were well expressed and fast paced. As a woman I found the battle descriptions sometimes a bit boring but not too much that I didn't want to continue. Love all the books by this author that I have read. He has you on the edge of your seat.

i couldn't finish the 3rd book. Lots to love about this series. The action and intrigue is great but i can't bear his inability to control his passions. How many encounters does he have in these pages? Get a grip man! Enough! I'm out half way through

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the whole series and hope that Galdir will come out of retirement to lead his nation for or against Rome. Perhaps the saga could continue with his son. There's much more in the history of the Franks/Rome that could be covered.

If you enjoyed the earlier episodes in the life of Galdir then you will enjoy this. Galdir is in Rome involved in palace intrigues so the action is more Galdir the emperor's bodyguard fighting off assassins rather than full blown battles. Mr. Nath is definitely improving as a writer and this book has a better timed and balanced storyline with more sophisticated and mature characterisation. The description of the mad emperor Commodus is outstanding and the book is worth reading for that alone.

Another story of blood, lust and political skullduggery in ancient Rome. Galdir survives another romance (of sorts), the usual quota of fights to the death, andwhen all his troubles seem to be behind him he is confronted with more of the same. 'Galdir - Protector of Rome ' is what used to be called a 'ripping yarn'. I have read all three books in this series and look forward to the fourth. Well recommended.

The Galdir series has been consistently good.Fred Nath tells a good tale. Get hold of book one and read the series in order. Looking forward to starting the final episode. Gets my recomendation

Third book in the warlord saga and equally as good as the first two. Compelling and gripping with a storyline that flowed

I have read the previous novels in the series. I really enjoyed this latest book well written and almost impossible to put down. A recommended read.
