Authentic Taste & Convenient Prep
I've only had the Paneer Tikka Marsala so far, but the spice level is good and the meal has a generous 2 servings per pouch. Convenient prep 3 different methods( using a microwave it takes as little as 1-2 minutes). Authentic taste and a great value for the money.

Comes handy when needed
Comes as a savior when needed. But the paneer quantity is very less. Not sure if it's paneer either.

Delicious just heat and eat meal
I discovered MTR paneer mixes at a gas station in the Asheville area, which was run by an Indian couple. These are quick to prepare and tasty! Recommended!

Yummy! What else to say‽
Fantastic flavour, just heat and serve over your own fresh rice. Ok value, worth the convenience.

Delicious for an instant meal
they're instant meals, so keeping that in mind, I really enjoy them. As a vegetarian, camping meals can be challenging to find and so expensive. These are lightweight, filling and so easy to warm on a campfire. Personally, I think they taste delicious and are a great deal

Decent for Room Temperature Preserved Curry
Overall, these aren't bad, but I won't be getting them again. I buy some frozen curry imported from India that blows the doors off of these. That said, I did eat most of the curry from all four; it's still perfectly serviceable food with rice or naan. There's some common themes for all four flavors. Firstly, they all have a distinct canned flavor. That is, a bit of metallic, deadness to them. This is typical of the packaging process, but ultimately makes me wonder why these aren't just served in a can to begin with, instead of using plastic pouches. All of them have Paneer in them, which is a type of cottage cheese. Out of these packages, they have a squeaky squelchy texture, and are a bit firm. Not bad on flavor, but it just makes me want frozen or fresh instead. The Paneer Makhani is probably my favorite. It has a slight spicy kick to it, even though none of the ingredients listed are peppers... so I don't know what's causing the heat. I don't taste the ginger paste, but I definitely taste the tomato paste... and again, I think I taste chili powder in it, even though it isn't listed. The Paneer Tikka Masala is also pretty good, with a mild heat level. It's calm enough that my kids (2 and 3.5 years old) were able to enjoy it. The main two flavors are Tomato and again, Chili Powder, but the chili has a bit of bitterness to it, like it was over-cooked in a rue or something. That said, I did eat most of it, even if the fenugreek leaves, cashew and ginger were lost in the overall flavor. The Palak Paneer is my least favorite. It has a burnt mint flavor to it, and is a bit metallic... but it's not bad. The creaminess to it makes it enjoyable enough, in spite of the metallic notes. In conclusion, not my favorite. I won't get again, but if you NEED room temperature curry, it's worth trying. I'd prefer these be canned, though. Cans are just more convenient in my opinion.Ordered August 2024Best Before June 2025 (10 months expiration from order)Product of India

A Delicious, Comforting, And Filling Quartet Of Indian Dishes Can Be Ready In As Quick As 2 Minutes
The MTR Ready-To-Eat: Dhaba Mix is a delicious quartet of Indian dishes that can be ready to eat in as quick as 2 minutes. The meals can either be heated in a microwave (when removed from its foil packaging and poured into a bowl) for 2 minutes, poured into a pot and heated on medium heat for 2 minutes while stirring on the stove, or immersing the unopened pouch in boiling water for 5 minutes. I ended up heating all of the dishes in the microwave. Three of the packages weigh 10.58 ounces while only the Jeera Rice weighs in at 8.82 ounces. The common theme between the dishes is that each has an intoxicating and inviting aroma, the dishes are comforting and filling, can easily feed one man or two adults with a smaller appetite, and the three curry dishes pair deliciously with the enclosed Jeera Rice and any other grain that you enjoy. The three curries are mild when it comes to heat level in spice even though the Alu Methi is advertised as the only dish with a medium spice rating. I would have preferred more heat but my non-spicy food loving family was able to eat and enjoy every single dish with a gusto. The Alu Methi is full of tender curried potato and fenugreek leaves. Of the four dishes, this was my favorite. It is seasoned well and has a delicious flavor. The fenugreek leaves are not as vibrant a green color as the product photos but the pairing is delicious nonetheless. The Paneer Makhani has paneer pieces that have a tender texture similar to a medium texture tofu. The sauce is a warm orange color and very different when compared to the bright red color as shown in the product photo on the package. The dish is very tasty but sadly there are only 11 pieces of paneer in the package that I received with a majority of sauce. I am not sure if the dish is intended to be more sauce forward but it is. I wish that there were more pieces of paneer as I am a fan.The Jeera Rice is very aromatic and fragrant and once I opened the foil packet there was no mistaking that cumin was a prominent but not dominating ingredient. When heated, the rice requires some fluffing but ultimately looks just like the product photos on the package. Once served the rice has a tender texture and the cumin flavor offers a delicious savory flavor to compliment the grains of rice. The Dal Makhani is a comforting dish that is made with black lentils. The lentils are tender and well seasoned with the accompanying curry sauce. Similar to the other dishes, the color of the sauce is not as vibrant a red as shown in the product photo on the package. Each pouch ranges in calories from 180 Calories (Jeera Rice), 240 Calories (Alu Methi), 260 Calories (Dal Makhani), and 500 Calories (Paneer Makhani). All of the dishes contain milk while the Paneer Makhani also contains tree nuts (cashew nuts) and may contain peanuts, mustard, sesame, and soy, and the Dal Makhani may contain peanuts, mustard, sesame, tree nuts (cashew nuts), and soy. If you have a food allergy to any or all of these foods, please be aware. All of the dishes are Manufactured and Packaged in India. The products that I received have a best by date of 10 months from the date that I received it. I am not an expert when it comes to Indian food but I have enjoyed the cuisine at a restaurant and found these dishes were delicious! These would be perfect to have in your pantry, to take with you when camping or backpacking, and to even include in an earthquake preparation kit. I am a new fan of MTR Ready-To-Eat meals and am now inspired to try other offerings from the manufacturer.
