Arrived in Great Shape, Taste Like Tree Bark, Best With Cheese or Toppings
I purchased these for myself because I recently had one crown placed on a back molar and am about to have another one placed on the other side, and my two favorite brands of protein bar that I used for snacks on the go are way stickier and chewier then the caramels my dentist told me to avoid. So, in trying to replace the fiber and the protein in those bars, I needed something tough enough to survive conditions in my bag, and I thought I could pair these with fat free cheeses and it would be a survivable sub.So, just heads up, my rating is about two things. One, everything arrived as it should and it's in good condition, use by date is March of 2020. Ok, and I can survive eating the product itself. But you should totally know that these taste like tree bark by themselves, just not quite so chewy as I imagine tree bark would be. But then, given that they are comprised entirely of wheat bran, whole grain rye flour, and salt (and it's a very small amount of that) I don't think you can expect much else. Now, I did try these with some reduced fat greek cream cheese and fat free pepper jack, and it was actually pretty good...it mostly drowned out the bark flavor, but there is of course a little bit of the wood pulpy kind of texture. I also tried it with PB2 just to see how different things would go on it, and I actually rather liked that combination, though it has less protein or calories then I want that way. So I think my point with this would be...plain, these are a thing to be endured and I found myself thinking I wouldn't want to eat these that way. Paired with something, it's really not so bad and I think it will work very well for what I need it to. But it is what it is, a source of fiber without any preservatives, or extra bells and whistles in the form of sugar or ingredients I didn't want, and I appreciate that in and of itself.

Hated at First NOW LOVE THEM
I;ve been eating these for many, many years. When I first started , I was convinced they were pressed sawdust, formed into boards. Just horrible but good for you. low in carbs, fat, etc. However, I am living proof that the human body really does adapt to new situations & new foods. Today I am 76, and actually like them very much. The idea of grilled cheese on soft white bread is so mushy, wishy-washy & my crispbread is crunchy & delicious. I have grown to appreciate its texture & taste. I prefer it with soft, smelly French cheeses over other crackers that are loaded with fat & sodium. My suggestion: don't give up on this crispbread. Today I love them, buy the original, the pumpkin seed ones as well as the ones sweetened with a little honey & raisins. They are great for fiber as well.

HOLY GRAIL OF CRACKERS!!! HIGH FIBER, LOW FAT, LOW CARB. THESE ARE EVERYTHING!
OMG OMG. Look no further. These are the skinny girl crackers. They are the perfect bread replacement. I learned about them originally from Lauryn of @TheSkinnyConfidential and have been hooked ever since. They are a great way to get your fiber in. I love to have 4 GG Crackers smothered in avocado, red chili flakes, nutritional yeast, S&P, toped with hotsauce and eggs. I mean, seriously. These things are so yum! If you tend to prefer sweets, try topping with a nut butter of your choice!

Terrible taste
I couldn't eat not even one cracker. I do like the other flavors, such as, pumpkin seed, sesame seed and my favorite honey raisin. But this original flavor is awfully, just awfully. It's like chewing on cardboard.

Long post - includes recipes and FULL review.
*** Disclaimer: If your'e buying these, you're either trying to lose weight, or have a very specific diet. I'm trying to loose weight, and am not too concerned about my salt intake. Any tips I give will NOT be good for anyone who is avoiding high sodium content, also anything I've put on these that's good probably has a decent amount of sugar. These bran crisps really get things going! i.e. they make you poop. Do they do make you full? Yes... if you eat 4-6 of them. But... if you do, then you've hit your suggested fiber dosage for the day. For me it's dinner and I've made some pretty decent recipes. As long as you top them with something that is full of flavor and has a high water content, then they're great! I like to top them with Skyr Cream Cheese (masks their brittleness), a slice or two of tomato (acidity and water content), and a small bit of prosciutto. Then, I sprinkle a pinch of course sea salt and drizzle a bit of honey on top. Is it delicious? Yes, actually it's very good. I could eat this every day! So I thought. Actually that one killer recipe is not sustainable. If you want to incorporate these into your diet, hell yeah! do it. But have a few other options available. My coworker turned me on to these and introduced "lil Zas" to me. That was the first recipe I tried. Just a little marinara and a sprinkle of mozz and parm. Some salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil do actually make them pretty tasty. I've also tried toasted PBJs. They're pretty good. But these crackers cook VERY quickly. If you pop them in the broiler for over 3 minutes, they're literally toast and inedible. Anyhow... this a long post, but does anyone else out there have any good recipes using GG Bran crackers? I'd love to get some suggestions. I ordered a big ole pack and have at least two left. I'm probably going to order another pack. GREAT PRODUCT!

Love these. Great appetite suppressant
Love these. Great appetite suppressant. Flavor is bland, so don't expect Triscuits. I usually melt low fat cheese on them for my morning snack. Perfect to dunk in soup. Let them soak a few seconds to let the liquid soften them up. High in fiber, fills you up. Helped me lose 48 lbs. Drink a big glass of water, coffee or tea to help the fiber expand. Have been eating these for several years.💜
