Life Extension Super R Lipoic Acid, 60 Capsules (2 Pack)

I have used this for about 5 years to help balance my sugars. I have type 2 Diabetes and this really helps! I've been diabetic for 13 years and have no neuropathy which I believe is because of the R-Lipoic Acid. I take 3 capsules at night and will take it as long as I'm diabetic (which is forever, I guess). Thank you Life Extension for a great product!

This vitamin is amazing. It is for nerve and cell health. I have one foot that has numbness and burning. Some nights the pain is unbearable. Someone told me about this product. I take one in a.m. and one at bedtime. For the most part, the episodes of nightly pain has all but gone away. However, about every 6 months I will have a night and I just take an extra one during the onset.

I experience neuropathy as a result of chemotherapy. My fingers were largely numb with maybe 20% feeling remaining and my feet somewhat less affected but in an awkward manner so that it felt as though I were always standing on marbles. I quit drinking from regular glasses due to constant dropping and now drink exclusively from coffee cups with handles. Shirt buttons and shoe laces were almost impossible. Frustration was endless. Life improved as neuropathy subsided to a degree during the six months I have used this product. My hands are up to 80% feeling but there has been little improvement in my feet. Today I continue to wear pull-over shirts and slip-on shoes and drink from a coffee cup. The day is in sight, though, when I can return to a normal life. With that said, I cannot say with certainty that this product caused my improvement because many chemotherapy patients experience improvement over time without treatment. Evidence indicates that R-Lipoic Acid helps, and nothing indicates that it does harm, so there is nothing to lose in giving it a try. I am glad I did because it may be responsible for my improvement.

Because I have an autoimmune disease (Sjogren's) which caused neuropathy, my energy levels have suffered tremendously. They call it fatigue but it's more like the life force has been pulled out of me. This product along with a few other supplements gives it back to me. I notice a difference if I forget to take it so I know it works. Many don't know that we need R-ALA instead of ALA. It's more absorbable. Very pleased with the quality of this product. It's also less expensive than some on the market.
