Chalet School Reunion Paperback

Elinor Brent-Dyers' Golden Anniversary Chalet School Book. This edition is published by 'Girls Gone By' so isn't abbreviated like the Armada/Collins editions. The story is based in Joeys' Swiss house and features Grizel Cochrane and a selection of other characters from the early Tyrol books plus Mary-Lou. It was nice to meet Maynie again, though I had to read the introduction to remember Sophie. Like 'A future chalet school girl' they don't really interact with the current school even though they are next door. We do get lots of excursions of nearby sights, some social history in medical practice with her great faith hot milk (sorry - yuk) and in the life giving atmosphere of the high alps, plus a smattering of EBDisms that no Chalet Book should be without.

I loved it. It was lovely to read about Old Friends from the Tirol days and to find out new things about them. For instance I didn't know that Joey's Sister-in-Law and Jack were twins. Will definitely be reading it again in the future.

A fun read - great to get updates on what some of the old girls are doing, and nice to have Grizel's story more resolved.

I have read this series for years but never had this book...just to say, I loved it! I am slowly going through my '80's paperback collection and filling in the gaps as I go along. It is fab to read of the grown-ups out of school. A great inheritance for my grand-daughter

Another excellent facsimile from GGB. I hope they keep publishing all of the series as collecting original books is beyond my means. These editions are an excellent substitute for the hardback originals.

I loved this book, it is part of my collection of Chalet School books, but I loved the fact that it came in perfect condition, no damage whatsoever, just as described, I would certainly buy from this seller again,
