Works awesome on fresh garlic cloves…if cloves are a little dry it doesn’t work as well. That said I’ll be more careful next time I get fresh garlic. The peeler is awesome! I use a toothbrush to clean the smasher (a new one… not mine 😉)

The garlic crusher itself is great and worth the price of the whole set, which is good because the little black roller thing they give you to peel the cloves doesn't work at all and the little brush doesn't do anything to get the garlic out of the holes. But it's fine because you only get like 15 holes at a time that the garlic sticks in and all you have to do is push it out from one side with your finger or thumb while you're washing it and it comes out fine.

I find this style of garlic press more convenient over others. It is very easy to clean and comes with a cleaning brush which I found helpful. I have used this a handful of times and unfortunately I have already noticed it start to rust.

I was hoping for a nice tool to make cutting garlic easier and less messy and to avoid the scent of garlic on my hands. Unfortunately, it ends up being a mess as most of the garlic gets stuck in the holes and you end up needing way more garlic since most of it is stuck in the tool. It is however, easy to clean but I would not recommend since it wastes a lot of the actual product. I would have sent back but since it was used there was obviously no way to send it back. I recommend to save the money and just go the old fashioned way.

Handy if you need a fair amount of finely chopped garlic and don’t trust your knife skills to do it. It cleans up pretty quickly and you can put it in the dishwasher. The peeler works well too after you figure out the technique. Seems very sturdy and should last a long time.

I use a lot of minced garlic and thought this would be a quick and efficient way to mince several cloves quickly. Wrong! To start, it proved difficult to press through cloves, requiring a surprising amount of pressure to crush them. The cloves tended to slip from one side or another and from either end and avoid the crusher altogether. When you do succeed in crushing a clove, only one side is crushed, leaving the other side intact adhering to the crusher. So little product was actually minced that I had to do it all over with a knife. It doesn't really mince it anyway - more like a regular garlic press, but less efficient. The surface of the crusher doesn't have the sharp edges of a grater so it does not grip or cut the clove at all. It is built much like a potato masher, but with smaller openings, and a curved surface that pushes cloves away rather than crushing them. Total piece of garbage - actually I recycled it because I didn't want to give it to Goodwill and pass it on to another unsuspecting soul. Great concept but the reality was very disappointing. Back to the drawing board.

Been a few months, use it multiple times a night for crushing garlic. Works like a charm, easy to clean.
