Depressingly slow, yet surprisingly funny
Brace yourself for Major Highlights listed below-1. Big scene which protagonist's partner created after Q&A session, don't wanna reveal much but oh my, his reaction was totally unexpected and hilarious, lol2. His departure from the scene was absolutely funny, lo behold for the tragedy which lied before him and revealed after in the end, ohh3. Story's so called villain, who encouragingly wasn't the only one with real humor, but hats off to his dialogues man. His every arrival and departure throughout the book is promise-worthy of major drama for the readers. Damn he is so adamant, fierce and steals the show with award worthy performance and dialogue delivery. Every time, even so.4. Every time villain departs leaving the rebels powerless, frustrated, and wait for it- oh soooo damn confused!! And dear me, readers are left in tears-worthy laughter, rolling in and out and turning every page in anticipationof more drama which we get, no shortage there and lo and behold, we don't regret the purchase, yet again and again.4. Last would be that person whom we initially rooted for as potential rebound, but who creatively turned out to be infact, my my, a pussy cat and no less.Hear hear, a big applause for the author and her ingenious style, the way she smoothly switched the characters' character, beautifully crafted a hilariously entertaining dark plot, and left the readers in tears, borne either out of sad way of life every women have to deal with, or situational laughter created out of tragedy which participants so often found themselves in, or simply out of craft, good or bad, pray let us know.Anyways, cheers to many more, aloha!!

Ruth Ware does it again, an exceptional thriller!
I could not put this one down, finished it in 3 days! I love when Ruth Ware is in her Agatha Christie era, and she knocked it out of the park with this one. It's a great read for any season based as a reality TV show on a faraway Island, you can't even imagine the things that happen there, and then to see how it all ends. This was one of my favorites. Well written, and an easy storyline to follow.

Impeccable Storytelling
Rating: 4.0/5"One Perfect Couple" isn't the first thriller to feature reality TV - nor is it even the first one to have a "Love Island" style gameshow setting as its backdrop - this had already been done by Ruth Kelly in her impressive novel "The Villa" last year. However, although the plot's underpinning set-up may not be the most original, the execution benefits from the always reliable storytelling skills of Ruth Ware, which, as ever, are impeccable. The result is yet another gripping, page-tuner of a novel. The earlier books in Ruth Ware's back catalogue exhibit distinct echoes of writers from the "Golden Age" such as Agatha Christie and Daphne du Maurier, but "One Perfect Couple" continues a more recent trend for the author's output to be more filmic and leaning towards suspenseful action/adventure thrillers. This shift started to become evident in 2020 with "One by One" and has continued to varying degrees since then. The element that has never altered, though, is this author's ability to write compelling, well-plotted fiction with highly credible characterisation. I will certainly be placing my pre-order for Ruth Ware's next offering and the wait already feels like it will be too long.
