Before I review this product I want to dispel an error that I noticed in the questions about this product. Someone stated that they were disappointed that the watch face had a mistake on it. The mistake being it uses iiii instead of iv to notate the "4" position on the face. This is not a mistake. Every watch face that I have seen or can think of uses iiii instead of iv. This is a tradition that goes back centuries. The reason for it is somewhat unclear but their seem to be 3 main ideas.1) iv has not always represented 4. This is mainly a modern times notation. Why I don't know but some say they did not use IV since it had to do with the god Jupiter.2) There's a story about King Louis XIV that says he insisted it should be the other way and made a clock maker change it. I find this hard to believe as this type of watch face existed before King Louis XIV.3) Another common reason is that it's for aesthetics/symmetry.I am not sure what the real reason is but I do know that when it comes to Roman numeral watch faces, iiii is the correct way to mark "4". This watch DOES NOT have an error on its face.Regarding the review of the watch itself... This watch is surprisingly heavy and well built. The wood grain look is lighter than pictured but still very beautiful. The cut out in front and back add to the styling and seeing the inner workings is stunning. Retro is in right now. This pocket watch is definitely eye catching and unique. For the money, the quality is amazing.

I have had the pocket watch a week or so now and I absolutely love it. Easy to wind and wear. So far the coating and metal has stood up and is simply beautiful. The face of the pocket watch and how it's designed sometimes makes it hard to discern where the hands are but it's only a minor gripe.I love it

A bit hard to read for old eyes. Runs a bit fast when wound fully. But, is a very nice watch and goes well with everything.

Although the actual color of the product is not the brilliant as the picture, our grandson is pleased with it.

I am a bit of a pocket watch buff I like old one as well as well made and attractive new ones. This watch is a very attractive watch and shows good quality and workmanship. I am very pleased for the price! It seems to be very accurate over several days of wearing it the time was still precisely the same time with a digital clock in my room. Even the best of mechanical watches will gain or loose several minutes a month. So for the money I paid I would not expect that kind of accuracy but I am well pleased with it so far in every regard. I have had several battery powered watches and they are forever dead it seems. So it is nice to find a very good quality watch for a reasonable price.

Needs a lot of winding to get it fully wound after the first time. Seems to run fine when wound, but to stop unexpectedly if not wound all the way each time I wind it.Looks great and fits my watch pocket in my jeans perfectly.

It's a wind up. Don't remember if that's in the description or not. It bears mentioning. Once you wind it up it keeps the time accurately for at least 2 days. Also doesn't fully show in the pics but it's very nicely finished. A+
