Excellent product. We recently did over our master bath. Our shower stall isn't large enough to accommodate a seat so this shaving foot rest was a perfect solution. My wife is very happy with it.

I had a shower bench upon which I could sit, which I primarily used for a foot step. But it took up quite a lot of space inside the shower. During every shower I need a foot rest. I saw this "flip-up-able" little step, ordered it and received it in two days. I did go to a hardware store and got 2" long stainless steel screws (The screws that were included were not long enough nor sized as big as I wanted) What I got at the hardware would hold up an elephants foot - I wanted substantive anchoring to the shower wall that butts up to the D shaped logs of our log house. Now substantive it is!! Very happy with this unique, almost no space using, truly heavy duty, little foot step!

I searched a lot for something I could rest my foot on while shaving my legs. Our handyman pointed out that a foldup bench still would take up a lot of room in our unusually small shower. I haven't put my full weight (132 pounds) on this but I'd say I put 3/4 of my weight on it. It's quite sturdy, due in part to whatever my handyman used to affix it to the wall (he did not use the stuff that came with it).

The material is solid and very sturdy. The only issue is that the treads on the top which are meant to prevent slipping are slippery. If you stand directly in front of it there shouldn't be an issue but if your at an angle your foot could easily slide off especially if it's soapy. I was able to fix this by filing groves perpendicular to the treads about 1/4 inch apart.

Easy to install. Large platform. Love that it folds out of the way. Seems sturdy enough for shaving.

I got this for my wife to shave her legs and it is very good for it too. It was easy to install, Just get a tile drill bit and make 2 holes hopefully into a stud, put some caulk on the back of it and then screw it into the tiles. It folds up out of the way which makes it perfect for our small shower.

I haven't installed it yet but I'm confident it will work.

Attachment screws are far too short. This item is designed to be mounted on tile, they do not allow for tile, the footrest and back board thickness totallingapprox 1". The screws are only 1 3/8" long, which allows only 3/8" in the wood framing.
