ReminisceBoutique Renaissance Overdress Medieval Pirate Peasant Costume Two-Toned Irish Fitted Bodice

I am in aw of the quality, this doesn't feel cheap or costume quality at all. There is great firm structure in the front that acts like a corset. I got a medium even though I usually where small because I am chesty and it fits well.

I ordered in size M and L to see which size would be best. I am 5'10" and about a size 6, and the Medium fit me perfectly. The large was definitely too big. In terms of length, if you are around my height, I definitely felt like it was just a hair shorter than I wanted. I didn't want it dragging the ground (which was a good thing, as it was raining on Halloween when I wore it, and I hope to wear it to a Ren Fest sometime, and I don't want it dragging the ground there either.) But it definitely had a bit of a high-water feel to it. So I ended up ripping out the hem, which gave me about an extra inch. I didn't have time to re-hem it, but the bottom appeared to have been serged, which gave it a nice clean line and it's not fraying and it's not noticeable, so I'll probably just leave it that way. The extra inch made a big difference, and now it is just the length I wanted- not dragging the ground, but not looking silly either. Overall I'm very pleased with this- the quality I would describe as good, there are a few loose threads, and it doesn't look like couture construction or anything, but it is perfectly fine for the price I paid, and I am satisfied.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality. Good construction and fit. Even after washing it looks good. Made very well out of quality fabric.

I ordered up a size because the chart was unclear. I could have ordered my true size after all. But I kept this one and wore it to the Renaissance Festival over a chemise. It was perfect. I can close the bodice all the way and still have room, so in colder weather I can layer a warm top underneath my chemise and it will fit. Very nicely made and heavier cotton/poplin fabric than I had expected!

This overdress was top notch, especially given the price! It's definitely not your flimsy Halloween costume material that stores like to sell for more than what it's worth. No, this is very authentically made. The skirt and bodice are both the same uniform material as your typical khaki pants. The bodice itself is gorgeous on it's own! The string to lace it up is able to be completely removed, so if you want to use a different string then you definitely can do so! The little motifs along the front of the bodice are lovely, and they actually have boning, so the girls can be somewhat supported! The shoulders have ties, so your needs for any adjustment can be met! Overall, I am beyond impressed with the quality.

I have been looking all over for a Ren Faire costume that isn't extremely expensive but doesn't look like a cheap Halloween costume. This over-dress is surprisingly good quality, there is boning in the bodice and it laces up to cinch your waist/bust-line like a corset, so it is flattering and really pushes the girls up nicely. I am 5' 3" size 0-2 and the length of the dress barely hits the floor, it won't need to be hemmed and will be fine with shoes. I paired it with a regular sized "ReminisceBoutique Renaissance Dress Costume Pirate Peasant Wench Medieval Boho Chemise" and BOOM I am done with my costume and will feel like a princess at the next Faire!

Was not expecting such nice material. This is theater quality stuff. It has boning going up the corset. The trim is gold but not tacky. I was expecting to have to order a size up because amazon sizes seem to be small and also I shop In juniors. I did this and it’s a little to big. I am pear shaped so I guess the most import thing is to go my your bust size because the skirt part has a lot of material to wrap around you

This was great! Exactly what we were looking for. It was nicely made and decent thickness (definitely not cheap and thin). A medium fit well but I probably could have gone up to a large to give a little extra room while wearing a fleece sweatshirt underneath. It came down to the floor and was absolutely adorable on!
