I purchased this cover after I reviewed several. The material is very strong, the magnets are super strong and holds the cover in place with no slippage and no cold air comes out around the cover at all even with the damper open. I put the cover in place while I still had hot coals (medium heat) and it did not effect the quality of the cover. I am very happy with this purchase. It was well worth the price.

I never knew about these. My hvac person suggested for winter and summer as the heat can escape. So far so good. I only have 1 magnet that keeps falling because of my brick but a put a very small piece of gorilla tape and works well. I would recommend this. My living room feels much warmer because I am not losing heat up the chimney

It truly does work and the temperature in the room is absolutely, positively much better. Great investment. However, had this had a couple more magnets, it would have gotten a 5 Star rating. There are spots that I can still feel a slight draft because of the lack of extra magnets. I went to Home Depot but the magnets they have are just not strong enough.

I was freezing because of the air coming out of my fireplace. My friend told me about fireplace covers and I looked into them and found this brand that's magnetic and I didn't get just one cover I got two without knowing it. One cover is if you have a metal frame around your fireplace then the magnets just stick right on. The second one is if you have no metal around your fireplace and it has magnets that allow you to attach the cover onto the fireplace. It was super easy to attach! Overall it's just perfect! I am no longer cold!

Very happy with this product. It's got a heavy duty and durable feel to it. Canvas-like feeling. Got a good weight. I bought my own magnets for it. Will likely be a permanent addition to this fireplace for winter/summer.

I'm sure this product is great if you have metal around your fireplace - the magnets are strong. But if you have a brick-only fireplace and need to use the little plates of metal with the adhesive on the back, it's another story. The plates immediately peeled off when I placed the cover and magnets over them.

Okay, not perfect, but the best I've found. You must get a size larger than your opening if your fireplace has some depth like mine.You could get more magnets, but these are adequate to hold the ver heavy fabric in place. It's not an easy product to make perfect, but after trying other covers, this is the one I find works best.

My recroom is completely warm now.

This thing is great, totally blocked draft, had to buy a few stronger magnets, but totally worth it
