Love the design, installation was a breeze. The included screws were a gloss finish while the lock is matte making the screws stand out a bit more than I would like. Also there's nowhere to hang the chain while not in use, so it just hangs straight down. Additionally the slider is square instead of round which requires orientation making locking somewhat more inconvenient to use.However these negatives are nitpicks more than anything and this lock is functional and looks incredible

The latch is very nice looking and accented my antique style cabinet I built. The problem is the throw on the latch is too short and the loop receiver is too large an opening which allows too much play. Even when latched the doors can swing open.

Using this for an outside gate. I wouldnt trust it to keep a toddler in. The steel is thinner than a pencil. I have about 2 months of use, and not much bending yet, so it might last. But I will upgrade as soon as it starts too fail.Also, tiny screws (#6 x 1")

While the latch is still somewhat attractive it is not the same as what is pictured. Installed 5 days ago & one screw has already fallen out and there is rust forming... The seller image has the screw set all the way down to the latch plate & the tip of the latch is chamfered. You can see from the pictures, that is not what I got. Also the paint is rough & on the latch that fell apart, is clearly not covering all the surfaces (rust forming inside of slide area. For the $ I guess it's ok. They do latch & I can fix the stupid screw but I anticipate the rust will be an issue in the future.. Going to try for a replacement for the one that is rusting..
