First off, I’m giving a generous 4 star rating because the seller finally reached out to me about my complaints. The main purpose of this purchase was that I needed an upgrade from my broken Brita bottle & I wanted an insulated water bottle to keep my water as cold as possible throughout the day because I knew from habit that I would definitely drink more! It did not.Other than that one major issue for me in particular, this bottle is PERFECT. If you don’t need your water to be cold to drink it all day long, then this bottle is PERFECT. I like the stainless steel, I love the “ergonomic” shape & it feels good in your hand & it's easy to drink out of it & carry it, the straw & mouthpiece thingy is great & you can even attach a Brita charcoal filter to it to have filtered water which is what I did, drinking from the mouthpiece is just like drinking through an actual straw & is comfortable & has a soft, rubbery silicone surrounding the straw so you don’t ruin the actual straw with lipstick/chapstick or whatever or chip your teeth & it makes the straw easier to clean & doesn’t make a weird noise when sipping it like my old hard-side Brita bottle does which is awkward in work meetings when it’s quiet, it is wide-mouthed at the opening to place ice cubes in it, but gets tricky if you have the Brita filter in there since it doesn’t leave much room, but for 2-3 cubes depending on the size of them, it comes with a long & short straw, the clear plastic lid locks so my 85lb slobbering dog can’t sneak a lick when I’m not looking & it keeps my straw/mouthpiece clean from debris etc while closed, the bottom has a silicone protective bumper cover to protect it from bumps, drops & dents & making noise every time you set it down somewhere, & it fits in my 2016 Honda Civic’s cup holder, & lastly it is very easy to clean everything & never gives the water a weird metal taste or any taste at all being stainless steel. With ALL of that being said, it simply does not keep the water cold for more than 30 min to an hour if that. My ice in the bottle was melted in less than 2 hours in my car in Pennsylvania on a 30 degree morning as I ran errands. What a shame. It has to be defective! Regardless, I asked for a refund & plan to send it back to Matt at Mazama for him to check it out.

Bought a couple of these for my 12yr. old great-grandson and he loves them. He has one for home and one for his daily travels. So far, no complaints. Haven’t used it for hot liquids so I can’t attest to that but so far there haven’t been any spills or leaks and it keeps ice for hours.Update: the following day after posting this review the top started leaking so now this bottle is useless. Was purchased about 3 weeks ago. Hope the manufacturer sees this review and sends a replacement top. If not, I will contact them and share updates with you.

Excellent. I got one and liked it, so I just ordered another. I have been on a quest to find the perfect water bottle for my needs for the past several years. I’ve bought many different unsatisfactory kinds. This water bottle is nicer than others for which I’ve paid twice as much. I especially like the hinged cover that keeps the top of the lid clean. The straw works well and doesn’t make any sound when it’s being used. I washed all the parts, including the straw, on the bottom rack of my dishwasher, and it came out just fine. It is a quality product. So far this one is the best and amazingly one of the least expensive.

This water bottle was fantastic for my son. It kept water cold for a long time and it held up to rough treatment. When he lost the straw, I emailed the company and they sent a brand new bottle! They had fantastic customer service. Highly recommend

Took a chance on this bottle since there were only three reviews but I've not had any problems with it for three weeks now. I needed one with a straw for using in my car. I was surprised that there still was ice in it after checking it in the morning (about 12 hours). I noticed that Mazama plastic bottles got poor reviews but this one is a keeper. Wish it came in a little larger size though. Fits in my car holder- Honda CRV.

Love this bottle for liquids, there are no leaks and the stays cold even 110 degree heat!! Well made and worth ever penny. Great product, would recommend to anyone.

I love these so much! I bought 1. Then bought several more. Then tried some Contigo ones. But then went back and bought more mazamas. Fan for life. No leaks even after a year of using and cleaning in dishwasher. Keeps drinks cold for hours... Even kept ice from melting at the beach for a few hours.
