Fiebing'sFiebing's Leather Dye - Alcohol Based Permanent Leather Dye - 4 oz - USMC Black

Used the USMC black leather dye on a Victorinox leather sheath for a Swiss Army knife that was a medium red-ish brown color. I wiped the sheath off with dry cloth then dyed it with 2 passes. Wow!!! Jet black. I am VERY impressed. Hint: use nitrile or plastic gloves because it will stain your fingers. You can get most of it off with alcohol, but use the gloves so you don't have to.

We did not care what color it was just so it was black. This made the boots black as night, and then they would take a spit shine that would be used to shave and pop your pimples in. Had a couple of navy guys that used to call their shine jobs DNA shines, they did spit...

so far is looks well on my saddle, I will have to update my review once I have ridden in the saddle to make sure there is no rub off and so on. looks nice though!

I got a kit to build my own Bowie knife but I didn't like the light tan leather of the sheath so I bought this stuff. I wanted it to be black like me k-bar sheath. So far I'm very pleased with how it's looking. The odor is slightly strong but nothing crazy. So far I'm very happy with it

I love this dye. It makes for a good deep black finish, and it looks fantastic. USMC Black is my go-to for any black leather project. Amazon keeps asking me about the scent, so I'll say that after completing a leather project with this dye, the finished product just smells like leather. It doesn't smell like chemicals or anything.

My brown leather is now black!3 coats and it’s shiny works great!

can be used as edge dressing as well. used about 3oz to go over a motorcycle jacket with one coat, which was sufficient coverage. nice and black again!

My son bought some new leather steel toe work boots for his new job. They never indicated that they had to be black and he had purchased brown. So I thought I’d try to dye them. I chose Fiebings Leather Dye and am very pleased with the result. After cleaning as much mud and dirt off of the boots. I deglazed the boots with Fiebings deglazer. I then used their Black leather dye per the instructions and they turned out awesome! You cannot tell they have been dyed and looked almost new when they dried. I would def recommend this to anyone who would like to dye some leather to a different color or bring back the same color.

The product is well packaged and easy to use. The finished job looks great.
