Didn't have much luck with similar tools in the past and was sceptical about KLRStec at first. But the tool exceeded my expectation in every aspect. All stainless steel, stayed sharp for the entire duration of silicone removal around my bathtub and in the corners, did not damage any tile or bathtub surface. Most importantly, allowed me to complete the job about 3-4 times faster than it normally takes. I only regret I didn't have it for my previous projects:)

I’ve been tiling the backsplash of my kitchen. This is such a handy tool to have. It worked well getting the adhesive out of the joints before grouting. Made nice clean joint lines. I would definitely recommend it to others. It’s easy to clean. Well made.

Though this tool has lots of attachments and carry case I found limited but useful use. First, the silicone caulk tips are virtually useless. The shapes and sizes just don’t really work well. However, I put the tool to the test removing old caulking around windows cased in wood and in brick. The effectiveness on brick is fairly good but brick is just difficult to remove caulking. However, around wood it works perfectly and slices loose caulk like butter. I do recommend however with limitations.

For removing the old caulk, having the multiple tools worked very well for me to get every nook and cranny of our shower. I used the blade, hook and corner blade to remove all of the old caulk, but it took some elbow grease to really work it all off. I ended up using the hook tool for a majority of the joists to break the seals and then followed up by the flat blade. I thought I would have used the curved blade but it didn't quite have the "point" that I was needing to get deep into the crevice. When applying the new sealant, the only issue I had was the rubber tips would come off pretty easily based on the amount of pressure I used when applying the new caulk. I tried to make the seal as tight as as could and, as a novice, the excess caulk will get everywhere so I was having to regularly clean the tips as they would slide off the tool more and more depending on much would get built up. We used some pretty thick sealant which may have added to the amount of pressure I was needing to add. Having used other tools for the same job, this was money well spent.

If you have to recaulk anything substantial, this tool is going to save you a lot of time. It also comes with a large assortment of inserts for laying different shaped beads of caulk, with copious spares, and a little belt pouch that holds the tool and the inserts. I thought it was pretty pricey until I started using it- but if time is money for you, this tool will pay for itself in very short order. It seems solidly built and it's large enough to give me a good grip, which reduced hand fatigue in use.
