The topper looks just like the picture shown.Our bed is years old. The mattress is still in decent condition. It's one the flips over and has a pillow top on both sides. We've always been good about flipping and rotating it. But, time wears on. I have neuropathy and I was noticing that my hands and arms were falling asleep or tingling every morning. I have had to wear braces. Plus my lower back would take a while of creaking to warm up and not be sore. I have one hip that had started to hurt. I'm not getting into the husband's side. We are both healthy and keep in pretty good shape so I just knew some of this was the mattress. Was I ready to spend another $1K or more on a mattress....ummmm....nope!I had slept on a friend's bed who had gotten a memory foam mattress and liked it. Then I started researching the toppers. I have been looking into a topper for months. Figured I would give it a shot. Hopefully sleep better and save a little money. Thank you Prime Day! haha After reading about everything I could and then reading reviews, comparing prices etc, I decided on this.Hallelujah!! I picked this one because it had good reviews on temperature. I run hot so I needed something that wouldn't make me sweat. I liked the bamboo and charcoal features. This came perfectly packaged. Easy to open (provided a razor tool for the plastic) and lay out. There was absolutely NO SMELL. I was worried. I put my face right into it. Nothing. I have a small house so there was no way I was able to stick a king sized topper somewhere for 48 hours, so this only sat for about 14 hours. It did start to expand immediately after being laid out. I already had a pillow mattress cover w/ deep pockets and it fits right over it. I have slept on this for 2 nights so I might be pulling the trigger early on a review, but I will definitely update this if necessary.Night one: I could definitely tell a difference. It was very comfortable. I was worried about too soft or too firm, but like goldilocks, it was just right. It is soft enough that you sink into it, but firm enough that you are not in a hole (if that makes sense). I was not hot at all. Summer is definitely a time to test that out.Night two: I think I liked it even better last night. Just a huge difference. Even lying on it to read. I was comfortable with no aches. Huge difference in the morning. I haven't worn my arm braces and my arms and hands have not had any pins and needles or numbness. My hip has not bothered me and my lower back doesn't feel like I have to oil it up before exercising or just breathing.At this point, I would definitely recommend this topper. I know there are so many out there. My suggestion is don't rush it. Read reviews on and off of Amazon. Going through though, add this one to your list of a possibility. I will add too that I was thinking I would need a 4 inch, but I did read somewhere that someone stated that it feels like you sink further down with a 4inch so I got the 3 and it's perfect for my needs. Sorry so long, but I invested a lot of time into this. haha

First don’t believe the low star reviews. People who tore the topper are just plain careless.Here is how to build the perfect bed and what you need.1. Start with a decent mattress. If the mattress sags, everything you place on top will sag.2. Get a 3” foam topper. I purchased this bamboo and charcoal topper and it is medium firm. My wife and I weigh 170 and 230 and we don’t sink in the topper.3. Put a quilted mattress protector on the topper. This will protect the topper and act as an isolator.4. Purchase an extra thick, down alternative filled mattress protector (AKA a feather bed) and place that on the foam topper and the quilted mattress protector.5.. Get a set of bamboo sheets.6. Get an ergonomic cervical pillow.7. This bed arrangement does not get hot at all period!8. Depending on your room temperature, use only enough blankets to stay warm.9. If you use too many blankets, your sleeping surface will be hot because your body will heat it up.10. This is the perfect bed. Soft, cool and the pillow keeps my spine straight so no more back aches.11. After years of trying. For me this makes the perfect bed. Period. I am glad I did not listen to all the people who wrote it tears easily, it sinks, it’s too hot. Non of that is true for us. It fluffed up in about 24 hrs but we left it sit for 48 as it shows on the first picture. It is very important that you use the tool they provide to unpack the mattress. This combination seriously makes the perfect bed. Would buy it all again 100%.

UPDATE: I had to change from a two star rating to a four star rating because even though the product was too soft for me, I appreciate excellent customer service. I was issued a FULL refund unknowingly!!! They understood my plight and because it's important that the customer is satisfied issued me a full refund no questions asked!! Now that I can work with! One VERY SATISFIED customer here.I feel terrible here but I really really don't like this product. I paid the 145.00 and I feel TERRIBLE! This product was packaged beautifully. It came tightly wrapped and unfurled easily. I didnt mind the slight new foam smell. So after an hour of it being on top my bed, I wrapped it in my new sheets and jumped on top my KING size bed and HATED it! It is way too soft for my liking. Nothing even kinda firm about this 3" charcoal topper. I sank quicker than the Titanic! I tried. I really tried to like this but when you lay on it, you sink ever so softly and it molds and conforms to your body supporting every inch and then you're stuck in it! I have a newborn that sleeps in a bassinet with me and I have to get up constantly to deal with her needs but boy oh boy getting out of that bed was a pain every night! Finally, I couldn't take it anymore. I ripped that sucker off and wouldn't you know it my bed was comfortable once again. (I only bought it because I was trying to make two XL beds a KING. All I needed was the foam filler to put in the middle!) So now I have a huge useless foam topper for nothing and no one in my family wants it. It's taking up an obscene amount of space. And above all I wished that the seller emphasized in SIMPLE language that this topper is extremely soft. Not plush! Not comforting! Just really really soft. If you love soft beds THIS IS YOUR DREAM TOPPER!

Quisimos esperar antes de escribir una reseña para probar bien el producto, ya llevamos casi un mes y ha sido increíble, muy cómodo, no se deforma, es fresco, se amolda muy bien a tu cuerpo, han reducido nuestros problemas de espalda y estamos muy felices con esta compra, muy recomendado.

The media could not be loaded.  I've seen a lot of horror story reviews that can really discourage buyers. One thing I know is that most detailed reviews are from people who are emotionally frustrated with a product. Also It seemed most problems were with the 2inch topper so maybe avoid that.<Summary>I can personally say from my experience using the queen 3inch option this is a quality product that will improve the softness of your bed and most likely improve your overall sleep. It expanded quick in my room with AC at high and I wish I bought this sooner.<Full Review>I had bad aches on my mattress so I decided to look for a quality memory foam topper. I purchased the 3 inch queen topper during Prime Day. Once it arrived the Instructions said to keep it out for 48 hours after unboxing so I waited. After 2 hours the mattress looked fully expanded and I questioned if I really needed to wait the full 48 hours. I waited about 10 hours and decided to use the mattress on my bed. I was shocked how it improved overall comfort of my bed and It put a huge smile on my face and no more back aches. I've only been on one other memory foam topper and this Lucid topper felt better quality and had less rebound giving it a premium feel. I'm really happy with the 3 inch topper but wonder how the 4 inch would compare. I'd recommend the 3-4 inch topper and avoid the 2 inch which seems to have the most negative reviews.

Espere una semanas antes de escribir la reseña para probarlo bien.Tenía ya varios meses que no podía descansar correctamente en mi colchón,así que buscando uno en Amazon me tope con esta colchoneta y dije pues por probar no pierdo nada,llegó todo perfecto y lo deje toda la tarde para que se inflara,llegó la noche y al acostarme wow,cambio completo,vuelves a descansar,la sensación es muy suave como si durmieras en una nube,mi colchón ya estaba algo duro así que está colchoneta le quedó de 10,compré la de 7.5 de alto pues en las reseñas tienen razón,al acostarte te hundes algo así que 7.5 cm sería lo indicado,no el de 5 o 10.Recomendación,pongan algo sobre la colchoneta,no duerman directo pues podría rasgarse o ensuciarse más fácilmente,yo le pongo la colcha y es muy cómodo así,además que es probable que por el material del que está hecha sientan calor si la usan directo,fuera de eso la recomiendo para que vuelvan a tener un buen descanso.

Tengo problemas de lumbar y ciática y tenía muchos días sin poder dormir bien, porfin pude dormir sin dolor gracias al sobrecolchon.Llegó en perfectas condiciones, no tardó nada en tomar su forma al abrirlo. Lo dejé extendido y no tenía ni un rasguño, excelente producto.Lo puse sobre el colchón, lo cubro con un cubrecolchón y luego sábanas de algodón. Mi cama quedó más alta, claro pero no afecta en nada. Quedó perfecto a la medida del colchón individual.
