Fall with Me: Volume 4 (Playing for Keeps)

It has taken me 23+ days and an audiobook re-read to be able to sit down and write this review but to be honest I have no idea where to start! I don’t think I will ever be able to articulate how much this book series means to me. Becka’s found family dynamic is one of the best I have ever read and every single character brings something special to the table. When Jaxon first arrived I knew that he had a story to tell. I just didn’t think I would see so much of myself within him. He is complex and multi-faceted and peeling back each layer made me fall in love with him more and more. This man knows acts of service, let’s be honest he could write a handbook on how to deliver them! Jaxon may not be the best at verbal communication (unless in specific circumstances 🫠😮‍💨) but his love for the gang and for Lennon shines through in every intention and actions he makes. As for Lennon she was the perfect addition to the group dynamic. She needed to find her people; those who lift her up and celebrate her dreams not belittle them. Her growth and self-confidence in voicing what she wants and sharing her love of the stars in particular with Jaxon was wonderful to see. Both of Jaxon and Lennon were broken in different ways but needed to find each other so that they could give themselves permission to heal. We saw it perviously with Cara and Ollie welcoming Rosie into the fold and Lennon slotted right in like she was made to be there but what was even better was seeing the boys shower Jaxon with love and support and remind him that he is wanted and loved and belongs with them. It would be remiss of me not to mention the top tier banter that is woven throughout this book. Whether it was arguing over what to name the group chat, to Cara’s overprotective sass, to cat photoshoots, to Carter being Carter, it hits every 👏🏻 single 👏🏻 time! While Becka can easily make me cry with laughter, she very much balances it out by making me SOB. I mean full on uncontrollable tears streaming down my face SOBBING. There were so many moments that broke my heart and I am not sure I will ever be over them. I could go on and on but I won’t so all that is left to say is that Becka, this was another stand out book and one that will always be on my re-read pile. I cannot wait for Emmett and Cara. I know that you are going to absolutely 1000% emotional destroy me the most with their story but I will savour every single moment of it - Breath with Me cannot arrive soon enough! Good start to the book laughing out loud in places especially tidbits request!! But on while would have enjoyed book of it was about 100 pages shorter.It seemed towards the end that Becka Mack (Author) had a contact to fill pages which was a real shame as it was a great very funny book

I was curious to read this book - I love the first two in this series but struggled with book 3 which lacked the humour of the previous books and was just too wordy . This book however is a return to the familiar fun vibes seen in the earlier two books. This is a great story - Jacob and Lennon cross paths by chance but have an amazing story which also covers both their back stories. It contains lots of interaction with Carter, Garrett, Emmet and Adam and it’s very funny at times, spicy and pulling at your heartstrings as well. I really enjoyed it and think it will be re-read again. Could be read standalone

This is one of my favourite books ever. The story, the love, the highs and lows—it’s all incredible Jaxon is the most thoughtful, caring, loving man, yet he felt he wasn’t good enough. He broke my heart and healed it all at the same time.Lennon and Jaxson’s love story was beautiful I loved every word, every sentence, and every page. An amazing story by an amazing author. This whole series is one of the best I’ve ever read, and I will most definitely re-read it over and over again.

I am so glad we got Jaxon's story and I am SO excited to see where this group of friends goes next. The connection between Jaxon and Lennon was wonderful, heartfelt and filled with relatable moments and times of insecurity. The characters took us on their journey through this book and it was a delight to follow. The character growth and pacing were done wonderfully and I loved every cameo we had from the main crew. Excuse me while I cry myself to sleep 😭😭

I liked the rest of the series a lot, and don’t get me wrong this book is good too for the right person, but I don’t think the playboy turned relationship man is my thing - which I understand is a me problem going into this book, and not an issue with the book itself. For that reason, 4 stars.

I knew Jaxons book was going to be SPICY but damn. I always knew Jaxon was a softie underneath his armour and his love for Lennon that grew stronger made my heart burst! Mittens is so funny and adorable! It’s become my fav book series ever I can’t wait for book 5 I’m hooked.

The most amazing book in the most amazing series! Absolutely loved it! Becka Mack is a genius!

Dieses Buch ist absolut toll. Ich habe die ersten drei Bände auf deutsch gelesen und konnte dann den nächten nicht abwarten, weshalb ich mich zum ersten Mal an ein Englisches Buch getraut habe. Zum Einstieg fand ich es wirklich gut machbar und verständlich. Die Geschichte ist wie man es von becka Mack erwartet super lustig und mitreißend. Ich habe gelacht, geweint und mitgefühlt. Selten so ein gutes Buch gelesen!

This book made me laugh, cry, swoon, and oh my goodness—the freaking SPICE was perfection! Becka Mack gave us a story that had all the banter, all the feels, and all the heat rolled into one unforgettable romance. They met in the most unlikely of places, and what was supposed to be a one-night stand quickly turned into the most unexpected journey: surprised coworkers, then roommates, only to realize that they were each other’s soulmates all along. The build-up of their relationship was chef’s kiss--funny, tender, DELICIOUSLY SEXY, and absolutely addictive. What made their story so powerful was how much they healed each other. Jaxon carried a lifetime of pain, never feeling like he was enough. Lennon, on the other hand, had lost herself in a long, draining relationship and never realized how much of life and love she’d missed out on. Together, they learned to let go of the weight of the past and step fully into a love that was passionate, freeing, and forever. And then there’s that line from Jaxon that wrecked me in the best way: “You’re not my line, Lennon. You, honey? You’re my after.” That single moment sums up why this story is so unforgettable! It’s funny, fiery, emotional, and achingly beautiful. Also, Jaxon singing to Mittens is possibly one of my favorite things EVER!

Omg. I just love Becka. She is an amazing writer, I'm so glad I found her, these books are perfect. I'm so hopping in the future she'll make one with all of them pov because I'm already missing them. Just read the hole serie.

This book is my favorite, the characters are endearing, their story is great and the connection even with the secondary characters makes this story perfect.
