Great for singles, too.
I really enjoyed this book. Even though I am single, I found it really helpful to think about my own financial goals. What I appreciated most was getting both the brass tacks of setting up a budget, but also the big picture of the importance of setting goals (both short-term and long-term) for what I want to do with my money. Thinking this through and setting goals for the future gives me a vision that motivates me to stick to my spending plan, even when that new sweater, or yet another Starbucks cup of coffee is tempting me. And of course it has given me good food for thought about what I can do now as a single person to one day enter into a marriage being financially fit, and hopefully not bringing into marriage the stress of debt. There are lots of practical questions to talk through when you start approaching marriage as a seriously dating or engaged couple. Great, short read! Plus it's really funny. I'm going to start getting this as an engagement present for my friends.

God-heavy and preachy!
Am I in church or reading a book about money management?Consider these quotes found in a book on money and marriage:"Jesus calls us on the carpet in love by linking our treasure and the condition of our hearts.""In 1 Corinthians 7:4 Paul says, 'The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband.' "God-heavy and preachy , I do not recommend this book for the secular or even for those who just want a practical book on money and marriage. I am not against those who want a book on marriage, finances and god, however do think that if the book is geared towards those who are of the Christian faith, that it should be stated in the book description. I chose this book mainly because I did not think it would hit me over the head with Jesus quotes! What a disappointment!

Content of the book is so-so, formatting for Kindle is poor.
My fiancee and I each purchased this book and read together and discussed as we went along. Overall the content was valuable, but the content could have been condensed quite a bit. The formatting for the Kindle is very poor and I would not recommend purchasing it in that format. An example of the poor formatting is what should have been footnotes (the author uses these way too much) showing up randomly in the middle of the text which makes the book more difficult to follow.

Practical and Humorous!
Derek Sisterhen has written a timely book that is perfect for engaged couples, newlyweds, or any couple looking to communicate better about finances. Derek teaches his readers about basic finance and budgeting strategies through humorous personal stories, practical advice gained from his skills as a financial coach, and applicable scripture passages about money and marriage. This book has inspired my husband and I to discuss our dreams for the future and to more actively communicate about our monthly budget. We can't wait to read more from this author!

Essential for Engaged Couples
For someone like me, who is about to be married and has a small knowledge base of finances this book provided me with a helpful starting point. Derek Sisterhen illustrated the necessity of being vulnerable and open with your spouse about the vital topic of money because such "financial intimacy" is highly linked to the overall success of a marriage. Anyone reading this book will be highly motivated and practically equipped to handle all sorts of marriage issues regarding money. I strongly recommend this book to all couples about to enter into marriage.

Incredibly helpful
This book is amazing. It's interesting, funny, and above all, practical. There are many books on the market now that talk about ideas. Derek's book actually walks you through the process. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. The footnotes could be their own book! Get Naked is written in the conversational style I like to read.I can't wait for another book from Derek.

Such a wonderful book!
I highly recommend "Get Naked!" My husband and I read this book as we prepared for marriage and it sparked many important discussion topics that we hadn't even thought to talk about. Derek's wisdom when it comes to financial matters matched with his ability to adequately explain these principles to his readers is unparalleled. His humor definitely keeps the reader engaged throughout the book! We're excited to see how learning to communicate more effectively about financial matters will strengthen our marriage.
