The pattern the top makes is beautiful with a tealight. The blue color is not very strong when the tea light is lit, however, I wasn't really concerned about the color that is emitted from the lantern when lit. The color of the unlit lantern is very close to the one pictured on the web site. I had no issues with quality or craftsmanship. The little stand is perfect on the nightstand, as I didn't want to hang a chain down from the ceiling.

It’s cute, and well made. Just make sure you read the dimensions and use a tape measure to physically see dimensions of what you’re ordering. It’s just to small and thin for anything other than an add-on decoration. Definitely can’t be a center piece. But that shouldn’t go against the product-just something to consider. The product really is pretty, well made and arrived before expected! It just looked like a larger piece in the pictures.

Its beautiful, the size is great and the lacy designs makes it look so elegant. There are a few problems though. The doors jam and are a bit difficult to open. It's not made to perfection so those who expect it will be disappointed. It does not give a blue glow when the candle is lit, like it claims. Other than that though it's really actually nice. If you plan to just put it somewhere for decoration then I highly recommend buying it, but if you planned on getting use out of the candle or having a nice blue glow in the room, do not get it as you will be disappointed. :) for me though it worked out great!

I bought 2 of these for a bridal shower and was quite impressed. Not only is it lovely to look at, but it's simply stunning with a candle inside. The product seems to be sturdy and made pretty well. The doors on one of them was a bit hard to open, but once opened - I could easily bend back the latch with my fingers......thus it opened easily from then on. The bride-to-be was so thrilled with them today that I gave them to her. Today, I'm buying 2 more for my husband and I. Yes...he liked them too. I highly recommend this product.

first of all, as this item is when you receive it, it really does look junky. The stand especially makes the whole thing look very cheap and brings the whole room down. However, the lantern itself has potential.The lantern has a black matte metal surface which is unapparent in photos but in person it looks reeeeally cheap. I have an artistic side however, so I took the lantern and lightly spray painted it gold so the black showed through in a subtle way giving it a burnished look.I then wired the lantern with a small bulb (which is easy to do because of the generous opening in the top) and then hung it from my ceiling with a bit of gold chain.It looks amazing!! The only way to make spending 10 dollars on this thing worth while, honestly.(I nearly donated them because I hated them so much before I decided to give them a makeover, and now they are one of my favorite things in the room).With a small night light inside and hung close to a wall, the light that comes out is really beautiful and creates amazing patterns on the wall.So now instead of feeling like I wasted 20 bucks on 2 of em, I feel like I got an amazing deal for that price.

I love these lanterns very much. In fact I purchased one, received it and ordered two more. They're beautiful with and without being lit up. I don't use real tealight candles because I like using battery operated fairy lights with timers. You can use both to light your lanterns, it's just your own personal preference.

Don't waste your money on this "lantern". It's a scam!
