When Findus Was Little and Disappeared (Findus and Pettson)

All books by this author and illustrator are excellent!! As small children grow older the books are still interesting and relevant to them…the illustrations are so precise and detailed they hold a child’s interest for many years “can you find…”; “where is…”??…Highly Recommend this author!

We like every book we have read by this author, and the illustrations are amazing! He is one of my favorite children's author/illustrators, alongside Barbara Clooney and Robert McCloskey. Definitely recommend this book!

This is our second Findus book. We love the illustrations, and the vibrant country scenes. When we read about FIndus' first sentence, we were super excited. My grandaughter loved seeing Findus as a kitten, too!

I bought this book as a gift for my cousin's daughter. When she comes to visit her "Fammo och Faffa," I want her to pick up some of her Finn-Swede background. She's already got the love of cats gene, so the book is a bonus in that department. The story is perfect for her age group. As to the drawings? They capture the lilac trees and barnyards of old time, small town Scandinavia. They are well done but also share a profound respect towards the animals and nature they depict. I suspect I will be buying more for her, as it is wonderful to encourage reading with kids.

This is one of a wonderful set of stories about a mischievous cat and his long suffering owner, Pettson. His adventures are facorites for all, young and old, and the illustrations are fascinating with plots of their own!

I was introduced to these stories by my German Sweetie Pie who is a kindergarten teacher & read these to her own children and has them on her own shelf. In German though!!Nice translation on these.

Another Findus book by Nordqvist - just as delightful as others. Fun and funny but also touching in the relationship between the farmer and his cat - or is it about the cat and his relationship with the old farmer?

Classic series in terms of both text and illustrations. Wonderful stories!

Another great story about the farmer and his cat. A big favourite with our grandchildren as it was for our children. The illustrations are wonderful.
