It's very big blender

This is a big powerful blender made for HD use. On the counter the blender stands 17" tall. It is heavy but feels less than a large electric mixer. This is due to the use of plastics in construction. Specifically, the large pitcher and the base which uses a strong internal frame to support the motor and electronics wrapped with a lightweight plastic skin. It sits very securely on 4 rubber feet set in a square 7 1/2" apart. For me the best place to store this item is in the pantry on the floor or shelf. It’s not that heavy and I can disassemble it to reduce the height. The pitcher is large at 80 oz and well-made but definitely below the quality of the best benders on the market (However it is much less expensive). It is held to a sealed rubber deck on top of the motor housing with 4 tall rubber posts that accurately fit into the base of the pitcher. The fit is not tight, and you can rock the pitcher from side to side with your hand, but it seems quiet stable. The deck mentioned previously is nearly 3/8" deep to catch spills and has a drainage slot cut in the back edge. The pitcher connection to the motor is direct using a metal gear at the bottom of the pitcher and a matching geared socket which is attached to the motor - No rubber hubs or components to strip or break! This looks very capable and provides strength and enables very high speeds. For breaking ice and making smoothies this is one of my favorite features. There is also a sensor switch on the deck next to the gear which detects the presents of the pitcher and disables the motor drive if nothing is detected. The sound reducing cover works well and significantly reduces the high pitch whine, from the electric motor. I haven't crushed ice, but I would say it will dampen this to a good extent - but it will never be really quiet. The cover fits on easily and quickly - although it is big and takes up space on the counter. This is a large kitchen appliance made for a person who uses the blender a lot. It has a 1500-watt motor that is connected directly to the pitcher with metal components so it can handle the day-to-day big loads and shocks from crushing ice and using the pulse switch. The electronics are simple: a switch to turn it, a variable speed knob and a pulse switch. There is also a reset switch on the bottom of the housing. I purchased this blender to make smoothies like you see at the coffee shop. They are similar in concept; big powerful machines with noise abatement covers. Both are able to handle ice with no issues and can spin at high RPMs. Both are built for the long term. I’m expecting a long life with this tool. It is very reasonably priced for the feature set, and I would recommend it.

I was expecting it to be really quiet, it’s still very loud but it would’ve been horrible with the shield. Not impressed with the sound but it’s a good quality blender, very powerful and blends stuff quickly. Good for home and business.
