Why did you pick this product vs others?: Pricing and durability. I have used this receiver in a few different foam model airplanes crashed a few and it still works as it's supposed to.

Have had no issues binding with my dx6i. Would have been nice to have some documentation with it (theres a 1 page pdf on their web site). Haven't been able to confirm distance as my build is still in progress.

No problems here...
Works great! The OrangeRx Receiver arrived very quickly. It has a very sturdy protective case on it and dual antennas. plugged it up and bound it to my Spektrum DX4e transmitter with no problems. I have heard others say they had a problem with signal loss but I have not had any such problems. I have flown it out to several hundred meters on my home-built P-51 Mustang and didn't have any signal loss. It works great and is good on the wallet.

steer clear of this thing. I have large helis and was building a small flying wing, angry bee, for a friend. I got it working on one of my spectrum rx's and ordered this for him to use since its a cheap flying wing. Wrong. This thing has some serious issues, as in it won't even are this little tiny ESC. I switched back and forth from the orange to the spectrum and the orange just plain will not work. The servos don't push down onto the pins all the way. Its just what it is. Cheap.

Not really Spektrum compatible
It is a really good transmitter and it will bind to my Spektrum transmitters. But it won't work with my setup as I'm using a Naze32 Flight Control Board on a custom built 250 class Quad and it just would not work with that setup. I ended up using a different receiver.

Make sure you do a full range test before you fly
The orange RX seemed to be the perfect 6 channel receiver for a decent price. It bound really quick and easily to my Spektrum DXS transmitter, and each channel is nicely labeled so you know exactly where to plug everything. The reciever itself is pretty small and light weight so should work for pretty much any model. Now for the negative part of my review. I was so excited to try this out that I quickly installed it into one of my models and took it to the field to fly. I got it up in the air and was able to do a lap around the pattern and then suddenly I lost all control of my plane and it spiralled toward the ground. It reconnected right before it hit and I was able to save it. Thinking my canopy might be blocking the signal I took it off and tried flying it again with the receiver and antennas totally exposed with nothing to block the signal. Again I had the same issue flew it around for a few seconds then lost connection, and then reestablished connection shortly after. Luckily I was able to save my plane both times, however I was pretty upset with the situation. I'm not sure if my issues were due to compatibility with my transmitter or if I just had a faulty receiver. Either way if you buy this I'd recommend doing a full range test before you fly, and make sure you test it with the motor running and with the plane in multiple attitudes so you can accurately determine whether you will lose connection or not.

Problem free DSMX Rx.
Bound to a Spektrum DXe 1st try. No loss of bind since. Reassuring double antenna (although one antenna Rx has never been an issue). Nicely built. Reliable after many uses so far with a long range for my sons sailboat. Arrived in time to equip his boat!
