Stopped taking it, but I don't remember why......

Sorry but after one month on these and my ALT levels increased by 4 points per lab results. No decrease. I would not recommend this brand. I ordered 3 bottles,received 2 bottles and had to email them to get the 3rd. I am not sure about products that promise free bottles for your review. Reviews should be done on factual basis. For this to claim to be a high potency formula you would think that my ALT levels would have decreased after using this for a little over a month. Combined with juicing to cleanse my liver and eating organic! Switching to Jarrow.

This product is not a substitution for medicine and my review should not be considered medical advise. However, my father was diagnosed with Hepatitis A, and his doctor said he has had it for possibly decades before it started showing symptoms in his liver. He went through the treatment, but the treatment was not successful in eradicating the virus. His liver function is good right now though, and we want it to stay that way. Because most people are cured with the treatment available for my dad's strain of Hep A, there aren't a lot of alternative treatments. So we switched to a maintenance plan, so that he hopefully will not have liver function issues in the future. I researched milk thistle and then purchased these capsules for my father. In some studies, this stuff improves liver function, but in at least one study it did not. You also need to tell your doctor and pharmacist that you are taking these because sometimes it can interact with other medicines you take. But I thought that the possible benefits outweighed any possible risk, and my dad's doctor agreed. He has not had any negative side effects and his liver function continues to be great. It might have been great anyway without taking the milk thistle, but we'll never know. The point is that he is healthy and he thinks that milk thistle contributes to his health, so I'd recommend giving it a try.

I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT A FEW DAYS AGO AND I RETURNED THAT THE SAME DAY BECAUSE THIS DONT HAVE PRODUCTION DATE AND NO EXPIRATION DATE.HOW YOU CAN TRUST AT THIS PRODUCT? I AM USING SYLIMARINE FOR 6 MONTHS BAYING FROM NATROL (MILK THISTLE ADVANTAGE 525 MG) I THINK IT IS THE BEST.

I actually used Trader Joe Milk Thistle 200mg, which was given to me by a friend. I bought this when the other bottle ran out. I took Milk Thistle after my Liver Enzymes were elevated, after taking 1 pill per day. I had my blood work done and my LIVER ENZYMES, where back within Normal range. There is no medication that does this.

Label does not include the rest of the label. I bought this because no soybean oil like others and it actually does have soybean oil. Now if I want to return I will have to pay shipping....bummmer!!

Earlier this year I was told I had a fatty liver. After having my blood work done recently I was surprised to find my triglycerides has gone down 65 points and total cholestrol dropped 5 points , LDL went down 5 points after taking High Potency (1000mg) Milk Thistle for less than a month. Everything now is in the normal range. It has also helped glucose levels from rising. I have bad eating habits that I am working on to improve. Too much fried foods and sweet desserts. I also need to do more exericise. I stopped drinking alcohol a year ago because I didn't feel well after drinking a few drinks. ( Wasn't a heavy drinker). I began taking Triple Strength Resveratrol (Japanese Knotweed)for cardio vascular health. I also take All Day Energy Greens to even out my diet. I highly recommend all these products. Will keep taking them.

Just because this Milk Thistle is in 3 separate bottles does not make it better for you. You are paying for the packaging and not for a quality product. Very disappointed with my purchase.
