This coat is perfect for me. I wear a size large when I purchase hoodies or shirts. I wear shirts that aren't thicker than t-shirts. I purchased a large in this jacket. The outer shell is not bulky, and the inside is lined just a smidgen thicker than a sweatshirt. My goal was to find something that wasn't lined in fur which would be way too hot and something that wasn't puffy. If I had bigger hips this jacket wouldn't go around them and I would have had to size up. But that would have made the chest part of the jacket baggy, unless I wore a thicker shirt underneath, again, way too hot. While this jacket covers my butt when I stand up it doesn't cover it when I sit down. I do wish it were a little longer so I could have something to sit on, but it will be fine. My suggestion, if you want to wear this jacket over a sweater or sweatshirt, size up. If you wear t-shirts, either long sleeved or short sleeved, order the size you normally would wear.

I purchased several long, soft shell jackets with two-way zippers and this is the one I kept... Even though, there are two design features I wish that it had, an adjustable draw cord at the waist, and a slit at the bottom of the back hem. But for the price, this is a decent option. Not having a slit allows the sides of the jacket to point out at the bottom, this creates a bell like shape. The cuffs are adjustable for a more comfortable fit. Also, I do like that the hood is attached as there's less material around the collar compared to the jackets with removable hoods that gave them chunky/thick collars. I wish there were more color options, but the dark grey is very deep and pretty.

The soft-shell jacket is wind resistant and water repellant. It's beautiful and comfortable. It zips up snug to keep cool air from getting inside the sleeves or the neck. It is long as well to help keep the air from coming up through the bottom. Lovely color and fit. Great quality will last. Definitely a good purchase!

It's a decent jacket. I haven't tested it in the rain, but it holds up okay to the wind. The cuffs are huge and can be tightened via a velcro strap, but I'm not a big fan of the design. The jacket looks very strange when zipped up on me, maybe it looks better on others, but I'm unsure. It has a curved design at the waist that I assumed would accentuate my figure, but it definitely did not.

I ordered a large for this jacket because I like to layer in the winter, and with the length I wanted to ensure it would be adequately sized for my hips. I'm glad I did order the large - while the medium probably would have fit comfortably, I doubt there would have been enough room for a heavy sweater underneath. That said, I'll move on to pros and cons.Pros: great, flattering cut. Slim enough to be unobtrusive, and the tailoring is outstanding. Zippers all work well and are nicely secure. The bi-directional zipper in front is a nice touch. The hood is roomy and has drawstrings if needed. The jacket itself is warm but not too warm; perfect for layering during the shoulder seasons (fall and winter). Length is very nice - will keep your butt warm ;)Cons: I mistakenly interpreted what I saw as inner pockets as true pockets. Please note (so you don't do what I did), the inside does not have pockets, despite how it looks... it's not secured at the bottom, which I found out in a painful way. Getting ready to leave the house for work, I put this jacket on and was collecting all my items I needed for my day. I dropped my phone into the left inside "pocket" and it promptly fell onto my toe. Thinking I just missed the pocket, I repeated this, again dropping the phone on my toe (my shoes go on as I walk out the door). This was when I realized the pocket was not actually a pocket, but open bottom. This is the one design flaw I note, as making these actual pockets seems like a simple feature to fit into the design. Also, this is not a true winter coat, as it alone will not keep you sufficiently warm. Other than that, it's a really nice jacket!!

I ordered this jacket in a 2X, which is what I usually wear, only to find that this runs a bit on the small side. It is a nicely made jacket, and is warm and comfortable, but I would have preferred it to be a bit larger, which I will look out for in future orders of jackets, because it doesn't fit well if I'm wearing a sweater or heavier top.
