Unless you are in the market for a dim, tiny lamp I would stay away from this one. I give it two starts because the design is cute but the size makes it practically useless and the fact that it only takes a 25 watt bulb, and even at at that, a very small candelabra-style bulb -- nothing approaching a standard size will plus into the socket -- this isn't worth it. Wish I hadn't ordered it.

I was able to get this lamp for only $9 through amazon warehouse! The bottom was damaged as stated, but I easily patched it up with some black duct tape since it’s up high and no one can see the bottom of it. I used a 25watt Candelabra lightbulb as another reviewer suggested and it works great! This is also the perfect size for a kitchen counter. I used mine for my pantry. The second pic shows how much light it gives off in the dark. Worth getting it for $9, can’t say I would’ve paid full price for it though.

This lamp gives a nice glow under my kitchen counter. It's a keeper. I use a night light bulb and I love how it looks at night. It's a very nice chicken, too!

Thus lamp is a rip off, very small cheaply made the lampshade wobbles . Waste of my money!

This whimsical little lamp was exactly what I was looking for to add to my newly remodeled farmhouse kitchen. Everyone who visits loves it. Some reviewers didn't like the fact that you could see the light bulb through the shade, but I think it's a great added feature. Just the right amount of light for the little corner I put it in.

This cute little lamp is exactly what I needed to fit on the kitchen counter under the cupboard in a dark corner!

I bought this lamp to serve as a nightlight on the top of a small hutch in my kitchen. It is perfect for this purpose and appears to be well made. I especially like the shape of the shade.

This is a real find. I searched and searched for something with this quality and size. I leave it on in my kitchen all the time. It requires a night light bulb. So glad I found it.
