DARTMOOR Mini Folding Camping Shovel.This is a small, solidly built shovel that folds away even smaller making it easy to carry around when camping etc.The all metal construction folds out fully to give you a decent sized shovel section for digging and or can be angled at 90 degrees in order to use the pick section.The shovel section has a saw blade on one side but I've not yet tested this to see if it's efficient at all.It's all clamped together by the screw sleeve and feels very secure when tightened. My only minor gripe is I wish this sleeve was of a metal construction rather than plastic. It still works well but I'm concerned of its longevity.By loosening the screw sleeve the whole thing is easily folded to allow it to fit in the supplied canvas bag.It's a great bit of kit, very handy for carrying around when camping and suchlike due to the compact size when folded and stored, but as equally handy to use around the garden.

When this tool first arrived I was skeptical about it as it came in a relatively small bag - I was expecting it to arrive in a bigger size. Once I opened the bag and opened up this shovel I quickly realised that a lot could fit inside the bag! After constructing it the tool became very sturdy so there was no fear of it folding during use (once secured via the lock mechanism).You can clearly feel the quality and good structure of this shovel when you hold it - it has a decent weight to it (not too heavy or light). I have no doubt that this is a very durable tool and the compact nature of it means it’s very convenient to store away after use and even to travel around with for camping purposes.Overall, I have no complaints with this shovel and think everyone should have one! Especially with the reasonable price point of £15.99 (upon this review). Therefore I do recommend this product.

This is genuinely an excellent piece of kit – if you like outdoor life and you do not already have one of these then I definitely recommend getting one.Weighing just 728g and measuring just 20cm x 12cm x 6cm when folded in the pouch (please see photos) this is truly portable.Thanks to its folding and lock mechanism it can be used in a number of different ways with shovel, pick or saw at one end and the handle end can be set at 3 different angles (please see photos).Finally the shovel feels well made and it certainly is not just a gimmick – it will stand up to some rigorous digging and general manual work.I absolutely recommend this item.

Or camping?This is the DARTMOOR Folding Shovel Made From Alloy Steel In Green, Measuring 19 x 11.5cm Folded, 46 x 10.1cm Open And Weighing 800g.This shovel is so smart, folds away into little or nothing in a belt carrycase (provided) and easily opens out by tightening a screw nut. It can be used for digging, hoeing ir sawing. It can be opened as spade or pick axe shape.This is really handy for camping, also great for detecting, as it isn’t that weighty and you get a carry case. Winner.Overall for the price I recommend this shovel, as for £16 it seems reasonable.

It took me a while to work out how the locking mechanism worked on this because there were no sintructions with it, but once I did I was golden. Comes in a nice wee travel bag. I know it's probabyl for emergency car / camping use, but i'll likely use it in the garden due to it's versatility.

Have been after one of these for a while now, they are such good tools to take with you camping or hiking.Better than a normal trowel and easier than a camping pick.It feels very sturdy when all screwed up tightly, and folds down into a very small pouch considering what it is.Fits well inside any daypack, or small backpack, and disappears inside a 75ltr backpack.Great for digging fire pits so that you can keep your fires out of the way, can easily switch between a shovel and a pick, just unlock the sleeve and adjust the head, then tighten the sleeve again.Has a saw edge too, but found it a bit odd to use it in that manner.Great price, would recommend this for hikers and campers alike.

This valuable tool will live in our campervan. I've lost count of the number of times I've wished I had a spade/shovel/pick when we've been away.After use it can be rinsed under a tap and, once dry, put back in its bag.It folds down to such a small size that it will take up very little space.

I’m planning to go camping this summer and a small shovel will come in extremely handy for levelling up the ground for the tent, digging a fire pit or if need be digging my car our of the mud.This shovel is very solidly made and can be locked into position with the shovel blade in line with the handle for digging or at right angles for use as a pick or hoe. The locking mechanism is via a ridged collar on the handle and is very easy and smooth to adjust.It folds up into a small volume which won’t take up much space in the car.At £15.99 (February 2024) it’s good value
