I recently upgraded to the MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk Max WIFI, and it’s hands down one of the best motherboards I’ve ever used. MSI really nailed the balance between premium build quality, performance, and user-friendly design. The board looks clean and professional, with a solid VRM setup that handles my i7 flawlessly even under long gaming or editing sessions. BIOS is super easy to navigate clear, responsive, and packed with useful options for both beginners and advanced users. Installation was simple, and all ports are perfectly positioned for a neat build. Very expensive indeed but has everything you'll ever need out of a motherboard. Built in heatsinks. 4x SSD slots. More can headers than you'll need. Runs 2x Corsair 24gb sticks at 7200mhz ram well. Looks amazing with the dragon all lit up. Definitely a product for those that want to futureproof that don't want to spend over £1000 on a godlike

Der Artikel war für rund 900€ in einem gebrauchten, schlechten und defekten Zustand - obwohl als neu verkauft. PINs waren verborgen, Wärmeleitpaste vom Vorgänger klebte auf dem Board. Selbst der Karton war in einem ramponierten Zustand. Nach Einbau des Boards schnell festgestellt, warum der Vorgänger es nicht mehr haben wollte - der Speichercontroller defekt. Sorry so geht das gar nicht!

Ho preso questa scheda madre negli sconti del black friday in quanto ho voluto sfruttare il periodo per aggiornare il mio pc da gaming. Ero intenzionato a fare una base su intel i7 di recente generazione per cui la scelta è andata su un chipset Z790: questo perchè intendo aver la possibilità di overclockare e per la supportabilità di ben 3 generazioni (12, 13 e 14esima). Non avendo intenzione di spendere cifre spropositate per top di gamma, ho cercato fra quelle di fascia intorno alle 200€ e la scelta era piuttosto limitata. Ero orientato verso la MSI Z790 Gaming Pro quando mi è saltata all'occhio questa versione Plus, la quale aveva qualche porta in più e tutte le caratteristiche che cercavo. Sul sito italiano non è presente, evidentemente è destinato ad altri paesi, ma ciò non pregiudica il funzionamento. Le caratteristiche principali sono una vasta dotazione di USB sia A che C, di varie generazioni (molte 3gen2), Ram DDR5, la compatibilità PCI-E 5, ben 4 slot M.2 tutti dissipati, 6 Sata3, controlli di ventole e led rgb a volontà, oltre a componenti elettroniche di livello, disponendo anche di WiFi e Bluetooth integrati. La scheda ospita un i7 12700kf abbinato a 32GB di Ram a 6400MHz e una RTX 4070 OC, il che rende il pc ideale per giocare in 2K senza compromessi ai giochi più recenti. Esteticamente la scheda non ha illuminazione integrata, è di colore nero con serigrafato il logo MSI con un pattern piacevole, ha il check delle componenti base, e con il bios è consentito effettuare overclock sia di processore che RAM senza problemi. Il socket è LGA 1700 per le ultime generazioni di intel, da considerare nell'acquisto del dissipatore. Il formato è ATX quindi quello standard, va inserita in case di grandezza appropriata. Le uniche due pecche di questo prodotto sono l'orientamento ancora di tutte le porte interne ed alimentazione verso il frontale (mentre molte oggi hanno i connettori rivolti verso i lati così da consentire un perfetto cable management nascondendo meglio i cavi) ed il bios che ha alcune cose molto comode, altre invece insufficienti. La dotazione di porte è elevata, gli standard moderni e la dissipazione degli M.2 con tanto di sganci rapidi è apprezzata. Non posso che consigliare questa scheda, trovandosi allo stesso prezzo della Pro è forse leggermente migliore, se pur meno diffusa, specie sulla fascia delle 200€. Ovviamente per chi vuole fare un pc al top ci sono modelli molto più costosi e completi, ma per la sua fascia credo sia una delle migliori.
