Since this is used as a mordant for home dye projects it's great to have it available in a nice size package. I wouldn't be able to afford it if I had to purchase in the small quantities on grocery store shelves.

the bag is unnecessarily big
when i saw the bag i thought i got scammed or something so i took out my kitchen scale to weigh it and turns out it was indeed 16 ounces/a pound (excluding the weight of the bag itself). i don't understand the point of putting it in such a big bag just for it to all settle at the very bottom.
