This Metal Lens hood is designed to fit three lens: SY E PZ 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 OSS SELP1650 Lens, NK 1 NIKKOR 10mm f/2.8 Lens and SAMSUNG 20-50mm f/3.5-5.6 ED II Lens. It adopts a screw-on design and fits the above three lens well. This made it a universal hood for the three lens. This hood will provide you many benefits: it shades the lens from stray light, improving your contrast and image quality; in inclement weather, it can assist in keeping moisture or wind-blown debris off the lens; and it protects the front barrel from the inevitable impacts against walls, door frames, and other real-life obstacles. The hood adopts a vented design, it will allow more light into the image and cause no vignetting. When being used, it allows the original lens cap onto lens normally.

My Sony a6000 kit lens has such a wide field of view that this is the only lens hood that won't cut off the edges. I got this with a UV lens to protect my camera long term, and it works perfectly. The hood screwed on like any other attachment, it accepted a lens cap or a lens just like it should. It's great.

High Quality Lens Hood With Small Size Footprint
I bough this for my Sony SELP1650 Kit lens as it doesn't include a hood out of the box. This is a quality product with a retro inspired design at an affordable price. Material is metal with a matte black finish. It screws into the lens thread effortlessly. Size wise its just right so I just leave it permanently attached to the lens. A small microfiber cloth is also included, nice touch!

Well made. Doesn’t show in frame. Great added protection for your lens. It allows for placing UV filter in front or behind it which is handy if you have a preference.

No vignetting
Does not cause vignetting even at 16mm. I'm using it on my Sony 16-50mm and works well. I mounted it on top of a Hoya UV filter. Also can attach the lens cover in front of the hood,so no need to take it off.

No shadows in corners!
I have used a few other products for this lens. Most of which would fit but, soon after taking a few pics would find out pictures included shadows in the corners. WELL NOT WITH THIS. I have it set up on an UV filter with no problems.

Good quality
No vignette, pretty good quality metal. It looks great and has a sleek profile, fits well to my a6300 stock 3.5-5.6 lens. It's less than 10 bucks, definitely worth.

Very nice hood,very different than others for the sony 16-50...all metal and no vignetting.

Well made hood.
Well made metal hood. Keeps some light out but there are limits with such wide angle lenses. Can be hard to take off if attached to a slim polarising filter but that’s not a design fault. Overall well made and very good value.

Fits perfectly
Fit my Sony a5000 perfectly, including the 40.5mm filter.I recommend this as a low cost addition to reduce some more glare and frontal lens protection.
