This helmet is an excellent one for the serious DIY chainsaw user. It strikes a good compromise between quality, fitness for purpose and cost. There are much better helmets available for use by professionals in the trade but these are much more expensive. The Waip helmet is described as 'professional' but probably will not be sufficiently robust enough for every day use. That said, it is strong enough for the most demanding DIY work but the helmet will require care in use to avoid damaging the visor mountings which are a bit flimsy. The helmet is comfortable in prolonged use and the air vents work well to prevent overheating in hot weather. The helmet fits securely on the head because of the well designed head band and size adjuster. The ear defenders are also very comfortable and appear to provide sufficient sound attenuation. I couldn't get the optional neck guard to fit because no holes were provided in the face screen to take the press in studs. With care, this helmet should provide the enthusiastic DIY'er with many years of use.

Face shield keeps falling off, needs improvement. Neck protection could be easier to attach. Other than that it does the job.

I bought this helmet as I use chainsaws and I have found it very comfortable to wear and the materials used I would be confident in them protecting my head. It was easy to assemble, it has some air vents in the top and the neck protector come in useful.

Good materials, design, construction. Easy to assemble. Plenty of easy adjustment for comfortable fit.

Helmet seems fine but no better than the cheap one it's replacing after 10 years good service. The helmet itself seems pretty good but the visor is very flimsy and it's fitment to the frame and hinge mechanism is very poor, there aren't any locking bits to it just a couple of slots in the rim that fit over a couple of bumps in the frame unit. The dust type guard that fits onto the base of the visor is also hard to fit. The instructions are non existent and the pictures lack any detail. After trying to find 3 specific holes for the 3 white pegs to go into and failing I finally worked out that the 3 little white plastic pegs with 2 small legs on each one actually do push into the mesh holes on the visor. You need to have very strong fingers/thumbs to push the pegs into the mesh holes without bending the mesh out of shape even when you have fully aligned the 2 little legs with 2 holes in the mesh. If you're not strong then maybe use pliers or carefully tap them home with a small hammer. I also couldn't get the adjusting strap to work to start with. I had to pull the knob out and then after trying twisting it in both directions and nothing happening I worked out you needed to pull the straps apart with the knob pulled out then it finally seemed to engage with the knob and now twisting the knob does loosen/tighten the strap on your head. You push the knob back in to lock it in place. Not sure if mine was unique or if they all need a bit of brute force to pull the straps apart to begin with. Hopefully it will give me a few years good service, time will tell.

Useful everyday helmet. Comfortable at a reasonable price, can be worn all day.

Given the price , it feels a bit flimsy and cheap, not super convinced the mesh would provide any face protection in a kickback emergency.

Bought because it has a neck shield, which helps with the grass and weeds flying everywhere. I don't think I'd use a strimmer without one of these

Déjà le casque en lui même. Tient bien sur la tête, confortable, la modération de son est top, la visière bien protectrice. Bref, super casque. Je ne regrette pas de ne pas avoir pris un premier prix comme j'avais avant.A part ça, suite au déballage et au montage, je m'aperçois qu'il manque les fixations pour la protection de gorge. Appel au service client Oregon, je tombe sur un monsieur très sympathique à qui j'explique mon souci. Ni une ni deux, il me propose de m'envoyer directement les pièces manquantes à mon domicile sans passer par le SAV d'Amazon. Reçu quelques jours après. Je recommande +++

La visière ne tient pas, une fois que vous abaisser la visière elle se détache

Cómodo, ligero y reforzado. Muy contento para un uso intensivo en la poda de olivar. Lo recomiendo.

Usato per abbacchiatura olive, potatura e trasporto con motocarriola, ha svolto ottimamente il suo lavoro, proteggendo la testa da impatti anche duri con rami robusti. Anche la protezione del viso offerta dalla visiera a rete è stata efficace, con quasi totale assenza di "intrusioni" di rami lateralmente o dal basso, riscontrate invece con altri dispositivi di sicurezza. L' aspetto più notevole è stata la stabilità al movimento e anche in seguito a impatti. Adoperato in modo intensivo per 3 giorni, fino a 7 ore quasi ininterrotte, è risultato confortevole, soprattutto con temperature inferiori ai 15°C, perché, in particolare se si superano i 20°C, con temperature maggiori ovviamente, se l' impegno fisico è da medio in su, si suda, malgrado l'ottima ventilazione. La fascia interna e le cuffie, per poter svolgere il proprio lavoro, assicurando protezione e stabilità, non aiutano la dispersione del calore. Al di sotto dei 15°C, invece, non si suda e, scendendo ancora o in presenza di elevata umidità atmosferica, la sensazione diviene piacevole, protettiva come quella offerta da un cappello. Il peso è del tutto accettabile e ben distribuito.Le cuffie offrono un livello di protezione adeguato: dopo una giornata passata tra abbacchiatore, compressore e motocarriola, tutti alquanto rumorosi, non si avvertono i tipici disturbi (fischi o riduzione di sensibilità uditiva) associati all'uso di queste attrezzature. Efficace la visiera, malgrado la costruzione in plastica, in particolar modo degli attacchi. Il meccanismo di sollevamento si è dimostrato funzionale, anche se il materiale è molto sottile. I difetti di cui si scriveva nel titolo sono tutti in questa zona, in quanto, oltre al materiale del portavisiera, anche l'aggancio della visiera, come lamentato da qualche altro recensore, non è molto riuscito, in quanto la visiera è facile da staccare (anche involontariamente), ma difficile da montare a mani nude, praticamente impossibile con i guanti.Telino di protezione del collo non ancora provato, lo farò prossimamente con sega e decespugliatore.Complessivamente, sono molto soddisfatto di questo articolo per gli usi per i quali è stato provato.
