Fun for all ages!!
We are big board game people and have a huge assortment of different games. We bought this as something to play with our kids. They are ages 10, 8 and 5 and can all play! We love the different boards that change up gameplay and strategy, but there is also enough luck involved that the 5 year old has managed to beat us all several times! We have also played this with our adult friends. Gameplay is quick and easy, rules are not complicated, but everyone enjoys it! We bring it along to our adult game nights now as well! The game is well made, and pieces don't feel cheap. I highly recommend this!

Very fun game for all ages
Simple rules, quick to learn... Has some strategy. My while family loves this game. Nice to have a have that my kids ask to play! Plays really well with 2 players, or with all 5. It's a fast game.

So fun and easy to learn!
Such a fun, but simple game! We love it. It has 4 different maps, so you can shake things up each time you play. As soon as we played it south a friend, we knew we needed our own copy!

Easy to Teach and Super Addictive
For those who have never played a game designed by Paolo Mori, you are in for a treat. He has yet to "miss" in my opinion and makes games for both hardcore gamers and families. This one definitely tilts towards families, but I know hardcore gamers (including myself) that love it! The game takes only 5 minutes to learn and comes with an awesome player aid. Component quality is great. It plays up to 5 players, but is just as good at ALL player counts. How many games can you say the same about? Overall play time on the box says 20 minutes and that's about right, though it might take more like 30 minutes with 4-5 players. It may be a family game, but this is likely to be my favorite game from 2024.

Very fun and simple.
I like the game as is. It is one of my favorites. I have an idea to make Captain Flip more fun. Pirates like to attack and fire their cannons. Instead of taking and playing new members for your ship, fire your cannons at other players ships. To fire cannons: The treasure map is still active. If you have the treasure map, collect one gold coin. Pay one gold for each cannon that will fire. Place a die above sips columns you are firing at. Roll all the die at once. If a player has crew on the spot (ship, column, die rolled) he loses that crew If cannons change the number of complete columns less than 4, the game will not end. After you fire all your cannons, lost crew go back into the bag. On the ships, drop any crew down a column if the spot below them is empty. Moving crew and cannons sure can mess another players ship. Because cannons cost 1 gold per cannon fired. This would prevent some one taking total control of the game with 3, 4, or more cannons. Remember each cannon can only fire once per turn. This makes having more cannons more interesting. It also adds more player interaction and less multilayer solo mode play.

Falls a bit short of expectations
This game is just OK. It is easy to teach because there is not much depth to it. I thought it would be more exciting than it is. The press your luck feature of the game, which is a main attraction of the game, is just not as prevalent as you would expect. All-in-all, its an OK game at best.

Fun filler
Know going in that this game is a filler. It is nice pirate art that is actually people and not animal pirates. There is decent replayability with 4 different player cards you can use. Easy to teach, set up, and clean up. Plays fast. Did I mention its fun? It is very fun. Great to have at a game day or night to use as filler or while other people are finishing a game. Bottom line is that its fun, just remember its not a Feld game or a 300$ KS game, its a fun filler.
