Clueless [DVD]

An enjoyable surprise
I have been putting off watching Clueless for ages, and I wish I had watched it sooner.Ok, this is not an Oscar worthy piece, but it is definitely one of the coolest and one of a kind films.I believe this is based on Jane Austen's "Emma", and initially I was sceptical, but then I saw how the story of Emma the matchmaker had been transported into the 20th century.Cher and her friend Dionne are in high school, and are The Popular Girls. Cher's aspirations initially may seem a bit shallow but gradually you see that she has a big heart and simply wants to help. And at the same time she has a software on her (old school) PC that helps her choose clothes for school :)If you know the story of Emma you know how it ends. Why was this film a surprise? Because on the surface, it looks like a story about a rich girl who doesn't have much to do in her life. And yet, she is a rich girl, but there is so much more to her than just her fancy outfits, and this film beautifully shows not to judge a book by its cover.

Funny. Flows well and... the Brother Romance to Clarify
Funny. great scenes. Made me laugh. The girl is so ditzy. SHe is silly. This made me laugh. There is no nudity at all. Pretty clean film.Teens and adults can watch. One thing I dreaded but still watched: so someone in the film isinterested in the brother. They are not physically related. Don't share the same parents at all.I watched this film to understand and laugh. I'm glad i did. Hope I clarified something!Love the aesthetics. The acting was great. Facial expressions to die for! Omg so funny.Definitely a film to watch and try if you are bored.

Favourite film ever
I've loved this film since it came out when I was a teenager. I've watched it probably 30 times over the years and each time I spot something extra to appreciate. It's much much clever than it looks, and it really repays the careful viewer. It's so funny, so well-acted, so iconic, great music... If I was only ever allowed to watch 1 film ever again, I think it would have to be this one.

A Classic
This was one of my favourite films of the 90s and I hadn't seen it since. It didn't disappoint. Some of the cultural references may have dated ( Marky Mark ? ) but it remains as clever and witty as ever. It is both a parody of teen films and funnier than any of them. The whole cast was very good but this was Alicia Silverstone's film. With her looks and gift for comedy I have never figured out why she didn't go on to be a real star.

Clueless [Blu-ray] [1995] [US Import]
This is one of those classic films that stand the test of time. With the Blu-ray version having a some extra in the Special Features section. Already have the DVD and now have it on Blu-ray yippee. Obviously I recomend it, Even though the film was set in America and me here in the UK, have lived through that era. Even if traditions in "Highschool" in the US totally totally differ from ours in the UK, I still loved the film for what it was, and the new-comers to the film industry. Pure light Hearted romantic comedy. Have fun and let it lift your day into a smile.

Fabulous movie, great way to spend a night in
This was an absolutely amazing movie, I completely loved its humour and light-hearted atmosphere that kept me grinning uncontrollably the entire time. Alicia Silverstone is definitely a classic beauty and Paul Rudd just brightens the screen whenever he smiles. I love the slow-build that (kind of wayyy conspicuously) hints at their eventual romance. As well as the glance into the old high school life with the top-of-the-pyramid system that probably still exists today to a certain extent. All in all, this was to-die-for.
