Excellent Shower with straight-forward retro-fit installation.
Our Mira Events XS broke down after 7-8 years of use after it stopped spluttering out water completely and produced a burning smell. We decided to go for this since it had similar dimensions to the Event and also was thermostatic. Albeit the worse shower head and slightly less powerful pressure, I installed a third-party Shower Head of my own and works like a charm. Also much quieter and in my opinion sleeker than the Events XS, the Vigour is an excellent option for a reasonable price.

Very good value for money
Great product when up and running. Its important to know that when fitting this to the wall it comes with wall plugs that are RUBBER. this I assume is to reduce noise transmission through the wall. However when fitting these if you "over tighten" them ( whatever that means as there is no spec) they will be practically impossible to remove as I found out when I had a small leak and spent 2 hrs cutting the heads off the screws to get the unit off the wall. The rubber strips in the hole and the screw and its retainer all rotate together and you are goosed !Another point I noticed is that when the unit is connecting to the two pipes protruding out from the wall, the plastics at the back of the unit clashes with the pipes as you slide it up onto them and prevents them from engaging fully, hence my leak. The unit had to be removed and the plastics cut away.Once installed it all works fine.

Noisy
We bought this shower as a replacement for our ancient Mira shower as it was the best match for the existing fittings. It should have been a fairly quick installation but we found it impossible to push the hot and cold water supply far enough into the push-fit fittings despite the fact that our pipes were long enough. In the end we levered them in with a piece of timber after discovering that when they seemed to be pressed in as far as they would go they still needed at least another half an inch to be pushed in. The fittings that screw the cover on are very flimsy so take care when taking the cover off and on, Apart from that the shower is very noisy, even more than our old one which was pretty bad. I guess it was relatively cheap so you get what you pay for.

Great Power Shower
Excellent shower, this was ordered to replace a Mira Essential which was many years old. Fitting was easy as same size and setup as the previous shower I do hope this new one has the same durability.

Cleanliness next to Holiness..........
I bought this Mira Power shower because my in-bath shower is positioned at the 'wrong' end of the bath i.e at the sloping end. As such, I needed a shower that was capable of projecting the water flow forward. It was to replace a now aged electic shower that had a somewhat larger 'footprint' than the Mira.Power showers cannot be used with a combi boiler but I have a condenser boiler. You do have to draw the water from the hot water tank, so unlike an electic shower, you need a hot water feed as well. This required plumbing by an experienced tradesman so factor this cost in when comparing showers. If you have a tiled bathroom, as most people probably will, be prepared to 'make good' any displacement of the tiling. Hopefully, you will have retained a few spare tiles for just such an eventuality. It did take some time to plumb in but it was time well spent. This Mira shower is stylish, attractive and, above all, very efficient. Personally, I find I have to have the temperature at or near the maximum but that is a personal choice. Early days as yet but I am delighted - and cleaner - by the purchase.I did need to check a technical issue with the sales support team at Mira regarding the minimum gravity feed from the water tank to operate effectively (800 mm). The advice was helpful, reassuring and right! Can thoroughly recommend - but do your homework first.

Great Shower
My MIra Event XS eventually failed after 12 years roughly. Although it worked fine over those years the noise from the motor was huge. A H&S audit would definitely recommend wearing hearing protection while showering it was that bad. I decided to stick with the same brand mainly because of their quality (noisy motor aside), appearance, and same location of water and electrical connections. The new unit was fitted in about 20 minutes. The difference in motor noise is night and day. Yes you can still hear it obviously but it is very subdued. A much simpler operation on the new one also. Rotate the inner ring to switch on and vary the water pressure. The outer ring allows adjustment of the temperature. It is a fantastic shower from a recognised brand and what you get for the price is very impressive. Highly recommended.

Good value, as advertised
I bought this because it was about 20% cheaper than any alternative I could find, and had a delivery time of a couple of days.It arrived in its original packaging within a couple of days, and seems to have been returned for repair.Installation is simple, but not easy— but is mostly as easy as it can be. There's blank fittings which are supposed to clip in place, but in practice just fall out again and I had to secure with duct tape. It was exactly the same with the last Mira power shower I bought & installed, and it's a pity that an otherwise good product is let down by one crappy part.Overall, after about a month in use it works as advertised, and no issues so far. It is a bit noisier than the Mira go, and the thermostatic function doesn't seem as responsive when you're adjusting temperatures, but overall a good purchase.
