Kuro Sumi Tattoo Ink, Outlining, 6 Ounce

It was a fake.... the clear tip thing didn't have the red tip shown in the picture. The labels were clearly different as well. Then again, my fault for not doing full research. Not using it on real skin.

It's been a few months since I bought this item and I have to say, I've had a fair share of issues with it since day one. As far as actual tattooing is concerned, it works okay, sets well, vibrant, which it gains a star for.But the bottle itself is where my problems began. On the first day of using it, the cap did not properly seal (made sure I tightened the cap as much as I could) and the ink seeped right under the cap, a considerable flow, as well. Since then, I've had to unscrew the cap completely in order to gain control on the flow.And on top of all that, it leaked everywhere upon transport, ruining a lot of my equipment and supplies. Now I have to seal it with a mini-plastic bag with a rubber band around it and then carry that in a separate bag so it does not risk damaging anything.It's been a headache dealing with proper maintenance, honestly.

Overall this was a good buy. Here are a list of pros and cons about the tattoo ink.Pros:-The ink was packaged well and didn’t leak in transit. The way it is packaged and sealed I have no fear that it would.-The ink is very VERY black like it should be and takes to the skin well.Cons:THE LID!!!!! The lid that comes with the bottle is an absolute NIGHTMARE! When you try to untwist it slightly to drip into the tattoo cups one of two things happen. 1: it drips into the cup through the hole in the top and spills out all over the table from the base. 2: you twist it too far and a solid stream of ink shoots from the tip and all over the table. I have used this ink 6 times and one or the other happen every single time!I am not sure i would recommend this ink to anyone with out a warning about the cap. I ordered some small bottles off of amazon and plan on moving the ink to those once they arrive if I do not get frustrated and toss the whole bottle before they get here. I like the bold black that holds well but i HATE the mess i have all over my station.

Edit: Upon further investigation I believe this is genuine despite a certain indication that it's counterfeit, however the sliver of doubt that remains is still enough to make me not use it. I suggest that if you do purchase this do your homework on some of the surefire warning signs of a counterfeit kuro sumi ink AND contact the manufacturer directly (especially if one of those warning signs is present). The actual manufacturer is wonderful, they respond super fast and they are so helpful. Personally I still won't use mine since that lingering doubt is just too much for me but I will change my rating to 4 stars for the super helpful manufacturer and the fast shipping. (Also to the seller I have not opened it so let me know if you want me to send it back to you, otherwise I guess i could use it solely on practice skins or something).

Purchased for my daughter who is 17 and an artist. She decided she wanted to be a tattoo artist, so I decided to help her be great. This ink is DEEP in color as you can see. I will definitely purchase more. I'm hoping I can find more colors from this brand and that they are equally bold inColor.

I purchased this second bottle after my son had received and used the first one I ordered for him. He gave it a very good review. I received my bottle and everything was fine until I switched the caps out. I began to poor some in my large tattoo ink cup, and unfortunately the ink also came out from under the cap, this made a big mess. I rechecked the cap, and it was on correctly, so I unscrewed the cap, and refitted it on the bottle, while having the cone in the closed position, I tilted the bottle and sure enough it leaked from underneath again. This would obviously mean a defective cap, or defective bottle opening.Other than having to clean up the mess, I had to transfer all the ink from the bottle to another empty bottle, in order to fix the problem.This product would have gotten an easy four to five stars just based on my first bottle purchased, but the defect took it down to three. It is still a good product, and I would still recommend it.

I gave this 3 stars because the ink was dark black and great for outlining and for the darkest blacks color fill.The big problem from day one like others have mentioned was the lid.There was an issue where it didn't seal properly. When i first loosened the lid it didn't stop properly and seemed to go paat the threads and had to be pushed down and twisted to shut.Then it gushes out of control when you try to pour it and goes everywhere.I examined the lid closely and found that the very top had a crack.On top of this, the bottle didn't have the red cap and didn't say outlining ink on the front.If amazon showed the correct bottle so i knew it was authentic and fixed the lid issues this would be a 5 star product.As it is, i will not be buying again.Perhaps if you have a good container with a good lid you could pour this into it and bypass the poor lid issues.

The ink itself is amazing. Deep black color that really sticks. However I only got half of a bottle because when I received it the cap was busted open. Thankfully I had another cap. Not sure I’ll be ordering again.

Wow very nice, liquid more than others , but does nice colour use it for lining.I chose this one because of the manufacturing process and Vegan ink as well, will order again with this seller too.Thanks

VERY GOOD INK - 100% completely satisfied. The ink is a nice deep black and stays in the skin really well. The additional nozzle that came with the product is not very great, but I didn't buy the ink for the poor cap.Highly recommend for EVERYONE

My husband likes tbis ink allot. He states it goes in nice and black and stays that way.

the bottle comes with 2 different tops, so i keep the original one at all times and put the twist cap only when i need it. I have made 2 tattoos so far with it, healed easily and stayed a really nice black.

The ink is great but the bottle is terrible. The twist cap spills everywhere.
