Excellent dress for the price ... there are many positives and of course some minor negatives. I'm 6'1, 185cm, 150lbs, 36B-28-38, US size 6-8. I ordered a size SMALL. Great call on my part which I based on the reviews about the top fitting properly as well as the bodice staying in place.I just watched a Say Yes to The Dress episode that included a bit about how one of a kind dresses are more expensive based upon the structure and lining "inside of a dress". This dress has no lining and there is no structure to it. Now, that is to be expected seeing how it is so inexpensive. Basically, you need to have either proper undergarments or fit the dress exactly according to your measurements and the sizing. I happen to be a perfect fit for the size small. This is not necessarily a dress you can dance in or move around a lot in without having to pull up on the bodice frequently. I did not mind because I was hosting an event and I couldn't sit down anyway. Also I'm fine with the fact that I'll probably never wear that dress again unless I get straps added so that the top would stay in place more easily.I gave this dress five stars because it was long enough and being a tall person that's often an issue. Secondly, it was very dramatic very beautiful looking, although up close it is very inexpensive looking. Because I wore it well, I definitely stood out and was complimented numerous times. Thirdly, when a dress fits properly people think it looks more expensive. I was fortunate not to have needed tailoring to trim the dress. Any petite person would need several inches taken off so you're not tripping constantly.The downsides: Firstly, some of the fabric lining along the back came undone the night before and I had to manually sew so it. Also the zipper was a little bit difficult to move up and down. Thirdly, the clasp which holds the dress at the top of the zipper fell off after the first time I tried it on. I couldn't even find it.Lastly, as you can see from the pictures, although I'm not that chesty I do feel the dress need a more fabric and structure up top. That being said, I certainly wasn't afraid of falling out of the dress, but I would have liked to be more secure in the bust area. If you are woman who is top heavy or do not fit the measurements exactly, this might not be the dress for you. But again I give it five stars because of the price and the overall dramatic effect. It was exactly what I needed and worth the minor hassle of sewing.

I ordered this dress extremely skeptical because I was just a little bigger than what the measurements for the size large said. Just got the dress in today and was scared to try it on. It did not have a funny smell to it like other posts said and was packaged nicely. The shipping time was way faster than what was expected so I am extremely satified with that. So... took the dress out the packaged, tried it on and I am in LOVE with this dress. Fits like a glove!! I am a size 14, 5' 6" (40-36-52) and this is perfect!! Looks exactly like the picture and the photos of other customers who bought the dress with the slit in the front. The fabric is very forgiving. It will stretch and it feels great! The train is very long but I love this dramatic look. Overall a great buy!! I would order again if another function comes up! Two thumbs and a toe up from me!! :-DI added more photos from the event. The dress was a huge success! Comfortable all night and I got so many compliments!!! I am too pleased with this purchase! I covered it up with a lace crop top. It was a church event and didnt want to have all my goodies out ;-)

As with most Amazon clothing it’s a hit or miss but this dress is definitely not disappointing. I marked the dress as “somewhat large” but it’s mostly due to the confusing sizes. After reading many reviews I decided to order a Medium based on the fact that I normally wear Medium (when it runs small a Large and when it runs big I can occasionally fit a Small). I am 5’6” 155lbs and measure about~ 36-30-40 inches and the medium was way too roomy for me. It looked quite nice on but there’s no way it would hold - someone would just have to barely step on the train to pull the dress down off of me. I am returning it for a size Small hoping it’s tight enough to have more support.This dress also MUST be worn with shapewear. I tried it on with a high waisted panty like Spanx but it since the dress hugs your hips all you can see is uneven lines.. so you HAVE to wear at least a half slip or Spanx that has hip/thigh coverage! Other than that it’s such a nice dress. Obviously I need a smaller size because the dress lacks structure and if it had boning it the waist and rib area it would be 5 stars but then it would probably cost double at least. So 4 stars for overall quality and value!

I wore this to my senior prom a few years ago and I absolutely loved it. I did had to get it fitted to me as I’m a pretty small girl ( 5’6 and was 125 lbs ) didn’t need much jewelry as the dress spoke for itself, I was gonna put my hair in a ponytail/ bun but ended up curling it instead ( best choice too )Very comfortable and elegant, good material, great color, definitely true to size if you ain’t small like me 😂I got the best compliments from this dress and I was able to wear it out to other gatherings as well, highly recommend this dress to anyone 😍😍

This dress is amazing!! Incredible for the price. I wore it for New Year's for a James Bond style party, and it was so perfect. The train is long but it seriously MAKES the dress. I received compliments all night and later from pictures. It fits somewhat large (I am a medium and ordered a small, and it fit perfectly- I'm 5'6 and 133 lbs) It hugs your curves and with a good push up bra, you are good to go. The material does not wrinkle easily, and is pretty heavy but in a good way, and it does not look cheap! I fell in love with this dress, if you're debating it, go for it!

The dress is perfect if you don't have a large chest. The top is cut for smaller breasts
