It stays in one place when spinning the washing.
I bought it because I'm waiting for my washing machine to be fixed. Its not designed for big things like bath towels but does t-shirts undies dishtowels and pajamas. It doesn't move around the unit top as I've seen on videos of other mini washing machines of the same design. The spin basket locks on well when spinning the washing. The wash cycles and spin are quick. I used a little of liquid detergent in it.

effective for (small, lightly-soiled) loads of laundry, folds quite compact, relatively quiet.
PROS-effective (if you don’t overload it)-folds to quite a compact size-takes less time to go through a cycle than I assumed it would-quite quiet (for what it is)-simple to transport because of handle (once it’s done a cycle, carry it over to a place to drain it)CONS-requires AC power-spin cycle isn’t _that_ effective, be prepared for wetter laundry than you may have from your washing machine at home-struggled a bit to clean my muddy trousers (there was one very wet day on our last camping trip)NOTES-quite a bit of effort has been taken to not show the AC cord. One could be forgiven for thinking that this was a battery-powered device.MY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

Broke after first use
Flimsy and not particularly powerful – it’s essentially just a bucket. I only put in a few light items to wash, but by the second use, I had to return it. The concept was good, but it simply didn’t work.

Don't bother
Doesn't wash at all. Waste of electricity don't bother with it. Everything was just as dirty only now dirty and wet.

Portable washing machines
Portable washing machines are impressively portable. Both the size and weight are designed to be just right, making it easy for the user to fit it into a suitcase or backpack without taking up too much space or adding too much weight. Whether you're going camping, on a business trip, or staying in a short-term flat with no laundry facilities, you'll be able to handle it with ease.Secondly, the washing effect of this washing machine is also very satisfactory. It is equipped with a variety of washing modes, allowing users to choose the right washing programme and time according to the material and degree of dirtiness of the clothes, ensuring that the clothes are adequately cleaned. Meanwhile, the built-in vortex water flow design can effectively enhance the washing efficiency, and even stubborn stains can be well removed.

Useful, but limited
✅ Quite a compact machine - boxed it measures 30x30x15cm and weighs 2.2kg with all the packing etc✅ Expands to size thanks to collapsible silicone middle section✅ In wash mode it can hold quite a few items - it's mainly useful for things like babies nappies, and adult underwear.🚫 The spin is poor as you'd expect from a small rechargeable motor. Too much in the basket and it catches on the sides. And balancing it is tricky. Better to simply wring out I found.Set against doing the items in the sink, this is a bit better and does a much better job, so it's quite good for the caravan.

Ideal alternative to hand washing and for camping
This mini portable washing machine has its benefits for camping and washing smalls quickly instead of hand washing. It doesn't replace a normal washing machine though but it's not designed to.There's pros and cons which I'll list below so please bare with me as I've detailed how to use it so you can make an informed decision as to whether it's right for your needs or notFirstly, the instructions are showing how to open and close the washer but no mention of how to use it so after watching an online video of a similar one I managed to figure it out. There's 3 settings on the front. Left is spin 3mins - centre is (I think wash) 10mins - right is rinse ( I think) 5mins (I wasn't sure if I had these two the correct way round but assumed 10 mins would be the wash cycle ) and an off/on button. You press the on/off button once to start and again to toggle between settings for the one you want. You can stop a cycle midway by pressing the on/off button. You need to apply a little pressure to the button it's not touch sensitiveThe fill line is half way up the washer where it curves outward, don't fill above that line. This isn't marked on the washer though. Fill up to that line with warm water and a little detergent, place the clothes in, close the lid, switch on, toggle to wash and that's it. It will spin back and forth for 10 minutes then stop automatically. It does make some noise but it's not loud. When the wash is complete. Open the lid, take out the clothes and put in a bowl, aim the hose into the sink and it will drain automatically. It doesn't take long then attach the hose back at the top to stop the rinse water coming out as you fill the washer with fresh water for the rinse cycle. Again, fill to the mid line with clean water, place the clothes back into the washer, close the lid, press on, toggle to the rinse cycle and wait until it stops. You can repeat this and any cycle as many times as you want. When it's finished rinsing, aim the hose into the sink and let it drain. Remove the clothes again and place the white spin basket in the centre. There's 2 parts to the basket. Pull the outer part up for using with a larger item like trousers or top etc but for small items like smalls socks etc it can be left down. Place the clothes inside the basket, close the lid, press on , toggle to spin and wait. Make sure the hose is still over the sink although not much will come out a few drops do drip. The spin isn't great but it does remove some of the excess water. I found I could hand wring an extra tiny bit out afterwardsOnce it's finished, remove the cothes and the spin basket. To remove the spin basket you need to press the little white clips on each arm. They're quite stiff so you need to press hard to unclip them. It's a bit of a faff but you get the hang of it after the first go. I've shown these clips in my photoI tipped the washer upside down on the drainer afterwards to completely drain it before putting it away.Tip... Make sure the hose is always clipped upwards whilst washing and rinsing otherwise water will drain out. The water doesn't overflow out of the hose during a wash or rinse cycle it only reaches half way up and stops there so don't worry about thatI found no leaks from anywhere and I did keep checking.Pros...Ideal for camping or people that don't have a washing machine or can't hand wash and for washing smalls, socks and the odd top or pair of jeans etc.Quicker than a normal washing machine.Takes up little room so ideal for small spacesuses less electricity than a regular washing machineCons...Clothes still need a bit extra hand wring after a spin. Can only put a small amount of items in at one timeClothes have to be taken out and put back in between cycles so manual intervention is needed.Removing the spin basket is a bit faffyConclusion... For the price it's actually quite good value. Useful for all sorts of situations especially where a main washing machine isn't available like camping or hotel rooms. It did clean my clothes really well. The socks were a little grubby when they went in and they came out spotless. I was really impressed with the results. It's not as convenient as throwing a load into a washing machine because of the manual intervention needed during the change of cycles but it's not meant to replace a washing machine. It's an alternative to hand washing and in my opinion, one that's quite good at it's job. If it had better instructions I would have given it 5*
