Best hose ever
Durable, flexible, lightweight and long lasting! These are the best hoses I have found so far. I have 3 of them in my barn and they withstand 1500 pound horses stepping on them daily, freezes, the Texas sun and kids tossing them on the ground. I’ve never had one get a leak or hole in them and they are going on 3 years now. I’ve tried other brands in between, but nothing compares to the durability of these. The hardware is great, easy to screw on and off. I take a 100ft hose of this brand with me to horse shows and even at that length it NEVER kinks! Well worth the money!

Nice and sturdy
I am pretty impressed. My sister has been unsuccessful in completely mangling this leader hose. I do not know what in world or where in the world she's tries to relocate my others too but they definitely showed some resentment. No water left to get to the other end. I also should mention that I purchased some swivel fitting and attached to each end.

Looks Very Good But Only Time Will Tell
We have six 100 foot+ hose reels for various types of yard and garden watering. I just replaced one of the hoses after about 10 years. It had kinked and cracked and was ready to burst, so it was about time. It was an inexpensive vinyl hose, so 10 years is not too bad (even if it came with a "lifetime" warranty.) The other hoses are more expensive and still functional. I had no trouble installing this and it appears to be very good quality, but as the title says, you have to use it for awhile to find out. Here are what I see for this hose: 1. The hose appears to have a full 5/8" (.625") bore. None of the fittings have a narrowing, which can greatly reduce flow rate. Some hoses advertised as 5/8" have restrictions of less than 1/2" which greatly reduces flow. 2. It was easy to unroll and install on the reel. I can tell that the reviewers who complained about tangles while unwinding the hose do not understand how hoses (and things like cabling) are wrapped. They are spooled. You cannot uncoil from either the center or the outside - you will get a tangled mess if you do that. You have anchor one end of the hose and put your arm through the center and walk out a100' to unspool it. You then connect it to the hose reel and reel it in. There are no tangles if done properly. These kinds of tangles resulting from improper unspooling makes it look like the hose kinks easily, but that is not the case. Any hose will appear to kink if not handled properly. 3. This does not look like it will have a tendency to kink. 4. The fittings appear to be good quality. I always use copper anti-seize compound on female fitting that is attached to the hose reel. It also appears that a failed fitting could be replaced relatively easily. Some hoses use specialized swaged fittings and stainless steel covers that would make replacement very difficult. 5. The swivel handles on both ends are very handy. They are meant to slide off the end fittings in case you need direct access to the fittings. The swivel handles assist in moderate tightening and also provide strain relief on the ends of the hose, which the area where most hoses fail. If a user is really irritated with the swivel handle sliding down the hose, it would be easy to semi-permanently attach it with a few wraps of electrical tape. However, I really do not think this is necessary. 6. At the end of the season, I always blow out the hoses with compressed air so the hoses and hose reel will not suffer any freeze damage in the winter. For best protection, you can then remove the hose from the reel and store it indoors, but that is a far amount of work. 7. This is neither the cheapest nor the most expensive hose. This is not in the economy grade hose category. This one appears to me to be on the higher quality end of the spectrum. The warranty is somewhat short (2 years), but I am expecting a lot more if it is cared for and not abused I will try to update my review over time, to provide feedback on how well it is holding up.

good quality, stopped the leaking
the 3 foot was shorter than I expected, but it does measure correctly, just that a 4 or 5 ft hose would have been better for where I needed it. However, its good quality and doesn't leak at all, so I'm very happy with purchase. just wish I would have ordered a longer one! Lesson learned, Measure twice, order once!!

Works Just as Designed.
After searching hi and low at the local hardware stores, this worked perfectly for my needs. And it arrived within a day. Great product, exactly what I needed.

Big improvement over old hose
I generally really like this 100’ hose. Have been using it quite a bit over the last few weeks. Weight wise I’d say it’s somewhere between my old heavy hose and the Flexillas I have (both bought in last two months; one a 25’ for just the patio, another 100’ for the front and side yards). This one is much easier to haul around a challenging backyard, with lots of obstacles and things my old hose got caught on all the time. It handles well, doesn’t catch on every little thing, even when all 100’ feet are winding around this and that. Had no issues with attaching to “Y” hose adapter (have both the Flexilla 25’ and this one attached to it). No leaking. Makes it easy to maneuver around the yard smoothly. What I don’t really care for is the “swivel” feature. It is nowhere near as nice as the Flexilla hoses. It’s awkward that the swivel piece only really works (sort of) on this length once it’s a bit further down from nozzle. Doesn’t move well otherwise. Maybe it works better on a shorter hose. Fortunately, I attached a swivel nozzle that does the trick most of the time. But I still find it awkward at times to aim the nozzle a certain way without some manipulation; it’s not smooth like a Flexilla, which more easily goes with the flow, so to speak. Less strain on the hand. Why did I not just get another Flexilla? I had read a few reviews that said the Flexillas got sticky over time, whereas this one doesn’t. Time will tell. I live in FL, where everything has a much shorter lifespan due to the wretched environment. I figured I would put both to the test. I was concerned, too, that the Flexilla wouldn’t be able to tolerate being repeatedly dragged around all the time in the yard over all the flagstone, pavers and sand. And the lime green Flexilla more readily shows the dirt, especially in wet soil that has a lot of sand in it. Some complained about how dirty the Flexilla can get, looks bad. My two are used where there isn’t too much concern. But where this one is used, the wet dirt and sand in the backyard would make a mess out of those. Another reason I chose this one; it blends in better color wise while it’s on a hanger out in the yard. Does it kink? *All* hoses kink to some degree. This one is pretty pliable, though; a bit more prone to kink a little at the 100’ length when not on. But its easily smoothed out. It’s far better than my old, stiff hose that constantly was kinking all the time. Pure frustration! I think I spent more time undoing kinks, releasing it when caught on something and struggling to get it back up on the hose holder than I did watering, lol. This one rolls up pretty easily, but much like the Flexilla hose, if you have to have it perfectly wound, nice and neat…good luck with either one on that. I’d rather not spend a half hour getting them back on the holders just so they look nice after I’ve been working in yard for hours.. One review said this hose gave slightly less water pressure. On that I have to agree. While it still provides a fairly good stream (e.g., for watering at a distance, or washing off your patio), it noticeably gives a bit less in pressure. If the hose a a tiny bit smaller than 5/8”, I can’t truly tell. Overall it seems to be a good quality hose. For good measure, even with this hose, I always use Vaseline where the hose connects to the faucet and nozzle. At least down here, *everything* metal corrodes easily. Vaseline helps avoid the torture of not being able to disconnect the hose from the faucet or the nozzle from it. (A tip from a good friend and fellow yardener who has lived here for many years!)

Fittings and hose quality good. First thing I had to do is glue the fitting sleeves into place. For that price I would not buy again. Customer service is the best I experienced. They offered to replace. I had already fixed the problem and kept the hose.
