The Easter Bunny brought these to my child and they are so cute and easy for her to use.

My daughter was so excited to get this chalk! It is colorful and cute design, although the little faces on it were not discernible when it arrived here, and it seems pretty silly. I think they had been chipped because the chalk had a dimpled surface on top. My daughter spent about an hour playing with it on the patio the first time I let her. The inner plastic tray in the package chipped when we first opened it, so I don't expect that to hold up well, and without the original packaging it's hard to figure out where to store these properly so they don't make a mess, but I guess we'll figure it out.

Use these for my kids Easter basket and they are so cute. They're a little tough to hold because their egg shaped so your fingers are closer to whatever surface you're drawing on. But for my two-year-old who has small hands they're perfect. He loved that the eggs had little faces as well.

I like the idea of the merchandise. Also that it’s non toxic. However item arrived open and out of place.

Well, if you wanted to know how vibrant this chalk is... here you go. Every other reviewer seems to be saving these for Easter. However, ours didn't make it that long. So here is a blue tree and similarly decorated outdoor seating area with all original work done by my toddler!The eggs are shown as pastel on here, so I am surprised, and somewhat pleased how bright the color shows up. (The tree might say otherwise.) The shape seems sturdy - unlike our sidewalk chalk, the thick kind, that breaks every time it's dropped. After some extensive artwork projects, including a large "crosswalk" for his vehicles, the eggs barely have a dent in them, so they seem they will last for a while.I appreciate that these say they are safe for little ones, though it would be nice to know what specific materials are used in it, and/or if it has been tested for heavy metals, etc. Anyway, I am always happy to write an honest review, and embarrass myself during our mom adventures. I was a little put off by the umkempt look of the packaging and chalky dust mess on the inside of the box, but then again, it's chalk, it's gonna happen. And after all, this is for kids who don't care about how well the packaging is, they just want the chalk. My kids where unphased by the messiness and enjoyed using these. It was fun to have two colors in one but it's not a shape made for fine detailed masterpieces lol, it's egg shapped and good for big rough drawings. If youre buying this as a gift and it looked like mine you may be perceived as a cheapscape who bought this at a dollar store, but if you just want some functional chalk look no farther

I got this chalk assuming the shell portion was not chalk, thinking that it would help keep my son's hands clean when he held the chalk. Unfortunately, the entire thing, including the shell, is made of chalk so it kind of defeated the purpose of me getting this. Nonetheless, my son had fun using this chalk. If he angles it correctly, he can make 2 colors come out at the same time, which is an upgrade from his standard one colored chalk. It seems to fit nicely in his hand, too. Despite my oversight, I give it 5 stars because it's still a quality chalk.

With the exception of the two-tones, this chalk is pretty much like other chalk I've purchased but possibly a bit more challenging for a toddler to hold on to. Having said that, she still managed to color all over the patio. I've put them in a plastic bag since the box they came in didn't hold up. The colors are pretty cool (thank heaven her hands washed up without any issues).
