Army Style Waterproof Ripstop Nylon Poncho. This ripstop poncho is 100% waterproof. Ripstop fabric was originally designed for military use. Advantages of ripstop are the favourable strength-to-weight ratio and that small tears cannot easily spread. It also allows the material to be lighter without losing any strength. This multi-function item has eyelets on the hem for use as a shelter or ground sheet, and press studs on the sides allowing you to use it as a sleeping bag cover or even a poncho or basha. When worn as a poncho the press studs down the side allow you to make arm openings βsleevesβ. This allows full use of the arms. One size fits all. 100% waterproof ripstop nylon. Military specification construction. Rip resistant nylon material. Very lightweight approx. 570g in carry bag. Very compact - Draw string carry bag included. Hooded with a cord adjuster. Press studs on sides. Eyelets on hem. Ties at each corner. Multi function uses. Not just a poncho. Strategically placed seam taping providing extra protection against the elements. Length: 84" (210cm). Width: 56" (140cm) (all measurements are approximate). Brand New Unused In Original Packaging.

A heavy-duty poncho, very pleased with it, except poppers weak and sides needed taping shut
I wore this poncho on the Camino Frances across Spain and was pretty pleased with it.In fact I was very pleased with it, except that:1) The hole for the head was small a bit for me. My head is larger than average and it only just fitted through the head hole (but it did go through).2) The poppers holding the sides together were too weak and kept un-popping very easily if I moved my arms or the wind put what I thought was a very small amount of pressure on them. I fixed this by securing them with duck/duct tape which worked pretty well.3) I would have liked it to be a bit longer at the back, as other ponchos I saw were, but it seemed to keep my rucksack dry anyway. But overall I was very happy with it.Sometimes I experienced condensation inside the poncho, other times not. I think this is to be expected with any poncho. The material was heavier duty than other ponchos I saw and I was glad of that. (The poncho weighs about a kilogram.)Generally when I saw the ponchos other people were wearing I thought mine was better (more water- and wind-proof.The only exception was the occasional ponchos that were longer at the back (designed to fit over a rucksack). But as I already said, my pack stayed dry despite that.If I went again I would take the same poncho. (unlike my over-trousers which were rubbish...)

Good stuff
It's a very water proof item, but a little hard to tie up with all sorts of strings and stuff hanging around looking like a horror movie. The head hole cannot be made bigger and is one size, so my giant fat head just about fits and gets VERY wet during the rain but the rest of me is dry, so when you tie this up, it does help against the rain and wind so you look like a homeless bin bag let free into the streets dressed as a human, so happy days.

It's ok.
I'm a "larger" lady and was worried this would be tight and not fit, but it's perfect. I should imagine on a smaller person it would keep all of them covered, but it drops down below my knees, the neck is a tight fit so that the water doesn't run down and it's totally waterproof. In fact I've ordered another to keep in the car 'just in case'. The only downside is that no matter how I wear it (I've tried many configurations) my arms are always exposed from the elbows downwards which is fine if walking with them tucked in but if you need your hands for any reason (wiping glasses, scratching your head) they WILL get wet

Pretty big, and can cover me and my bag nicely, but then again I'm 5"3It was a bit heavier than I expected, but that isn't much of a problem. But there's a bunch of strings dangling from it which is useful, but the fact they dangle means they just get wet really easily.

Not the one I'd buy again.
It's pretty good. You can open it right up as a tarp, but that means that the poppers at the side come open sometimes, and on mine one popper was missing. The hood is snug, so much so that you need to lift it up to put the hood up or down. The cords at the corners were annoying and needed removed.Overall it's fine, but the "Mac in a Sac Unisex Waterproof Festival Poncho" my friend bought at the same time is probably better.

Its made of good quality material hard wearing however not to sure its fully waterproof. Ive tested it in the rain, i expected it to beed off but it partially soaked in the material and partly beeded off. Nothing a can of water proof spray wont cure.

Covers well but leaves wrists & hands uncovered
Not used yet but definitely worth the money
