The best handlebar tape. The rider will have a firm and confident grip on the handlebars: no squish, no foamy mass. Compensate for the tape's absence of cushion with bike gloves. The tape is also great for wrapping kickstands to prevent damage to the crank arm.

Works well with the Rust-Oleum Zinsser 304H 1-Quart Bulls Eye Clear Shellac. I actually wouldn't use this tape without shellac- the shellac seals the tape, makes it resist staining and water, and makes it really tough. A few layers of shellac and the cotton fibers of the tape give you a nice grip with some abrasiveness. If you really go too heavy on the shellac, the tape eventually gets a nice deep, thick and glossy look which is visually nice but is a bit more slippery if your hands and gloves are wet or sweaty. But this is much better than the foam tapes from years ago that get loose after a few rides.

I do have a couple of bicycles. Both of them have the Brooks Handlebar leather tape. I bought this to wrap the handles and side bars on my dolly, Some of my garden tool handles. This stuff is awesome. It is flexible. the glue back actually works! The grip improvement is incredible! Now when I have to m ove things with my hand dolly there is no more marking the item up and no side slipping off the hand truck. IMPROVEMENTS?????? Oh yes, sell it in longer rolls! Like rolls double the length in a single roll. I have many tools that need to be wrapped. It took out the vibration of the sledge hammer hitting the concrete. I should have started wrapping tool handles years ago.

So I hate bulky steering wheel covers I found this after some searching and figured why not.. put it on a few weeks ago 1 roll did half my steering wheel and covered up the portions that were coming apart well... after weeks in the sun I can say it's still stuck on there and it hasn't bled the adhesive material through like other tapes have I highly recommend

I was hoping when I ordered the cotton tape that it would be a little thicker and provide some cushion. I would suggest ordering 4 rolls - it took me four rolls to get two perfect layers on each bar, and doubling up gives nice cushion for your hands while riding longer distances without that spongy feeling.

The quality adds a nice touch to any bars or frame.

I used this for wrap around a meat tenderizer hammer and it adheres well, prevents my hand from slipping, and looks good. It's a good buy.
