Easy and nice

Why did you pick this product vs others?:So far it is working nicely. Easy to program and integrate into Alexa and my other house processes

Don't work

I tried one of these and it did not indicate presence. So I returned it to Amazon and they sent me a replacement and it behaves exactly the same. I contacted the manufacturer and they said they would forward the problem to the engineers and get back to me. That was two days ago and I haven't heard a word. Apparently I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what. It indicates presence when you first power it on or if you unplug it and plug it back in. It executes the Alexa routine so I know all the connectivity is correct. It just doesn't do a thing when I walk in front of it.Follow up: they sent me an email asking for a bunch of numbers and crap, I told him a phone call would be fine we could solve it over the phone, but I never got a call. So I'm returning this one on the next one I ordered back to Amazon.I did order a motion detector from the same company and it works fine right out of the box. I have two routines, one of those movement to turn the light on in the room, the other there's no movement to turn it off. They both work fine and they run about a minute apart. It will also send you a text so if I'm out of town I will turn that on.

Seamless integration, as a trigger, for TreatLife smart switches

Mounting was seamless, be aware you need a USB-A brick or an outlet with USB-A female port. Setup was simple, TreatLife has come a LONG way from the first smart switch I purchased years ago. By the time you hit “+” in the SmartLife app, the device has already been discovered and the app retains the WiFi login credentials from your previously set up devices. We’re using the TreatLife motion sensor in the garage, when motion is sensed, it triggers the two garage light switches and turns them on. This allows full-light when arriving home at with the car or bicycles etc, and doesn’t leave us dependent on the anemic, pathetic, single LED light built into the garage door opener. You can park or walk in with ease and not have to get out, turn on the lights, get back in the car, finish your park and then turn off the lights before you leave. The lights are currently set to 15 minutes, and with no motion, turn off.Learning the various motion sensitivity settings will only make a perfect motion sensor, beyond perfect.

Work For Now

I've had some issues with it... quite a few. But recently I've got it in a good spot working off a reliable plug, and it seems to be okay right now. It's not perfect all of the time but right now I'm more pleased than not. It's very sensitive compared to my zigbee battery motion sensor. You can adjust the sensitivity, micro sensitivity and range.

Quick activation!

Glad Treatlife is adding presence sensors. Others in my household are always leaving the kitchen light on. As it's already on a treatlife switch, I just added this sensor, and with the Treatlife app was able to add two routines, one to turn the lights off when presence is no longer detected, and one to turn it one when presence is detected. I'm happy that it turns on very quickly, even before I'm able to reach the switch when entering the room. The only slight downside is that the app is configured to give a phone notification every time the sensor is triggered. This got annoying REAL quick, so I had to disable all notifications. I didn't see how to turn off just the ones from the sensor. BTW, it turns off after about 30 seconds of inactivity by default. There are a bunch of setting to adjust in the app, including distance and times, but I didn't have to change anything.

New firmware doesn't work with Smartlife - Home Assistant

Treatlife updated their app and apparently their firmware. As in the past the way to add a Treatlife device to home-assistant required adding it to Smartilfe/Tuya. I was able to add it to Smartlife but it failed to detect presense. It worked fine with the new Treatlife app but there's no pathway from that app into home-assistant. There's not anything in HACS either. For me that makes this presense sensor unusable. It might be usable if I used the paid Treatlife subscription service but I'm not willing to try that

Big time delay at least once a day

When it works, it's great, however, I have it set up to trigger Philips Hue light in a bathroom and at least once a day, there is a significant delay in the trigger, sometimes even as long as 45 seconds. I have the routine set up with Alexa AND Google Home as a backup in case one or the other was causing the delay. Nope, it's something with the product and I have no idea why.I have 50 smart home devices spread throughout my 2 story home with 2x Amplifi Alien routers and 1GB internet. No other devices from multiple different brands cause me issues. Because of this, I will be returning to using the Philips Hue motion sensor I was using flawlessly for years. While I don't expect a wifi sensor to compete with the reliability and speed of Zigbee devices; a hiccup everyone once in a while is acceptable, not once or more times a day.

Great Addition to My Home Automation System

These are sensors that you can place anywhere and program them to do whatever you want within the app (trigger scenes, turn on lights, play notifications, etc). It integrates with Amazon/Alexa (which is how we use it). This is great because we have one set up in the Kitchen and have it trigger the lights to turn on during certain times in the middle of the night. It helps when we are walking into the Kitchen and the lights turn on automatically. The uses are really up to your imagination. You can also trigger them to set up an alarm on your phone if they sense movement. A great idea would be to put them in a liquor cabinet and protection from kids. Very cool devices - I love them.ALSO - you can stick them on walls/ceilings and you can angle them. Very versatile.
