Update: this monitor is not g sync compatible and I was only able to use some of the options as this is not certified g sync. I was not able to use some of the g sync features. I ended up returning the monitor and order a IPS panel monitor that is really g sync certified. . IPS panel is much brighter and has less input lag and smearing. Did not know what I was missing until I tried an IPS panel with g sync. If you have an AMD card then the curved vg27qm will work with your gpu but if you have an RTX gforce gpu make sure to get a monitor that is g sync certified or you will not be able to use all the features of the gaming monitor. I picked up this monitor to add to my ASUS Tuf 15 laptop with a rtx 3060 gpu. This monitor works ok with my laptop. I can use hdmi or the display port at 240hz with no issues so far. I like the curved display helps pull you into the game. The monitor has some cool features that are useful when gaming. I can run fortnite at 165 fps with no problems and COD war zone 2 on high settings and get about 100 fps. I really love my ASUS laptop and monitor combo. Very easy to set up. Plug in and play with the settings to get the best picture for your use. I like the hight adjustment on the monitor. Very sleek looking and well made. I would recommend this combo for any gamer who wants an affordable set up. Thanks to ASUS and Amazon for having a great price and product selection. I bought to replace a lower quality cheaper lc monitor that I got in a pinch. This is perfect. The color and clarity by comparison is amazing. USE: I use it primarily for work and am pleased by the consistency in quality between the laptop display and it. DESIGN: It’s a gentle curve. And as it’s my first curved monitor, I like that the curve is not overly aggressive. The base feels sturdy and the monitor can be rotated and adjusted up/down very easily. OVERALL: A worthwhile choice. I would have preferred to spend less but it’s worth what I spent.
