Great fan, easy to mount on ceiling
I have bought 4 different brands of 20 inch fans ranging in price of $55 to $175. I would rate this as the second best. I have kept all 4 as they were needed at the time. Everything about this fan from the buttons to set the speed (not a plastic membrane over a button), to the knobs to tighten the tilt and the way the stand just slips together with spring loaded pins suggests quality. When the fan is running, there is no wobble, chattering or squeaking noise. But, since it pushes every bit of the stated volume of air, there is a certain noise level to contend with. The noise is the air being pushed not the sound of the motor. The two fans that I rated lower, both have a slight wobble to them while they are running (obviously not balanced motor/blades or both). This is a top notch fan.Steer clear of fans that will not tell you the volume of air they are expected to move and understand that more air is going to be more noise. Another thing to look at is either the amperage or watts. You can convert easily: Power (watts) = Amps x volts. In this case, this fan has a information on the fan that states 1.3 amps so you know 1.3 x 120 volts = 156 watts. This information is slightly skewed from this listing as it states 2 amps.A brand that is pushed on this site does not show their volume of air and states that their wattage is 30. Either that is a misprint or a very weak fan. 30 watts/120 volts = 0.25 amps. I would say it is probably a misprint. Steer clear or buyer beware.Notice that with a simple rod, mounted on the ceiling, you can hang the fan. I made this mount out of 3/8 inch rebar welded to small plates for attachment to ceiling. Prior to bending the rebar, I slid a piece of 1/2 inch PEX tubing. There is no direct attachment to the fan and if I need it elsewhere: Easy to unhook and move.

Quiet & powerful, exactly what you want from a fan, delivers good CFM with pressure
Quiet & powerful, exactly what you want from a fan, delivers good pressure ... No issues pushing cool air up the staircase to the second floor of my houseThe MASTER 20 Inch Industrial High Velocity Floor Fan - Direct Drive Fan ----> B01N9V1MHFGood pressure developed by this fan, pressure was better than with another fan that was 24 inches - see my reviewsQuiet enough to use in your house, good enough to use for workNot difficult to assemble. Reasonably sturdy Easy to move.Ball bearing motor is a big plus & I expect it to last for years--> Equipment used for testing was Not calibrated ... reference numbers Only--->FPM - measured with hand held 3 inch diameter FLORITE 0 -1000 feet per minute gauge --> measured @ 10 feet in front of fan & 1.5 to 2 feet above the floor for max observed FPM measurements--> Low speed@10ft 450/fpm--> Med speed@10ft 550/fpm--> High speed@10ft 650/fpmSound levels measured with Radio Shack Sound Level Meter cat 33-2055 ... settings used:--> Response = Fast--> Weighting = db CSound levels observed 3 ft behind the fan - to minimize buffeting background noise from moving air--> Small changes in db C represent a very Large increase in Noise .. do a web search on it.--> Low speed = (below 50 dbC ... did not register on my meter) that is quiet for a fan !---> so I moved sound meter toward the fan & made it to only 16 inches - before meter registereded 50 db C--> Med speed = 51 dbC--> High speed = 54 dbCI've bought cheaper sleeved bearing fans in the past & they always became noisy & eventually stop working.Only 1 slight negative: The angle adjustment locking nuts, uses a plastic tool (handle) that comes with the fan. The silicone covers that you place over the nuts, are not the tightest fit, and can become dislodged quite easily - though they are easily put back On the fan. I prefer the angle adjustment knobs that are all in one ... nothing to looseFinal thoughts about this fan? ..... I bought a second one

Highly Recommended. Solved my cooling issue well.
I have a situation with a small room at the top of the house that has plenty of windows and there is a breeze outside. The breeze just doesn't connect and blow through. A lot of hot air ends up collecting in this room. Other fans I've tried didn't work. This one works like a champ! It not only connects so that the breeze has more throughway, it keeps the air in this small room continually circulating. There is some noise, it's not loud or awful and I would expect this from any fan with this much power. I generally keep it on low. If it's a hot day, sometimes bump it up to medium. I've only turned it on high thus far a couple times when it's a really hot day and there's no breeze coming in from outside. It's basically turned what was a real drudge on a hot day to being enjoyable and bearable (I don't have AC in this room). Highly recommended.

It "walks" around and rattles
Good fan, lots of power, sturdy, quality product. I don't regret buying it, will buy another. But the stand is inadequate to hold it in place against the fan's power. It will move over a foot on both carpet and wood flooring, and rotate 90 degrees while doing it. I suggest weighting down the stand or putting something heavy behind it. Secondly, it's definitely a little off balance. It makes a LOT of rattling noise. Not enough to annoy you, but loud, noticeable and variable. 8 likely shall have to dissemble it to identify what's causing it. Maybe from shipping, who knows but it's been doing it from day 1 last year.
