I like the fact that Cartridges UK remove the original outer packaging in order the reduce the cost of postage, thereby keeping the cost to the customer to a minimum - thank you.

What can you say about an ink cartridge, it is what it is. The colours are mostly fine and serve the purpose of an office inkjet printer adequately. The life span of the cartridge is also acceptable for the price but to be fair I have never compared it to any of the cheap alternatives. I don't think this ink or the printer I use it on will ever produce the greatest quality photos in the world but that's not what I bought it for. For every day document use in an office environment this ink serves the purpose.

I always hate paying the huge price for the "official" cartridges but I have tried may brands of the copy ones and they never work. They were delivered very quickly with no issues at all.

The cartridge took about 20 pages of printing before it started printing properly, but this may have been due to bad storage or something - I contacted Brother about it, but they had no suggestions & seemed fairly disinterested. After the 20 pages the cartridge works perfectly though, printing nice solid pigment ink black.(Remember to be wary of inks being sold without the packaging (there's a lot of this on Amazon) - the "Use by" dates are on the cardboard box, not on the sealed plastic bag, or the actual cartridge. The cynic in me would suspect that cartridges sold without the box are a con attempting to sell off expired ink.)However, these inks contain Glycerin. Brother says "Some of the Glycerin in our inks may be derived from Beef Tallow Oil." & "We’d have to conclude the ink is not suitable for vegan use." So if you are morally or religiously opposed to boiled cow in your ink, you might want to avoid Brother inks.

I have given up with cheaper cartridges as in my experience print quality is much poorer so would recommend the much more expensive Brother cartridge on the basis of quality but not price.

I now always purchase the original ink for my printers. In the past we have tried using compatibile brands but in the end the quality and the quantity just don’t match up so you end up spending more. With the Brother Original inks the print quality is always great! We would always recommend using this product.
